From THE DRUDGE Report and Associated Press: “A worldwide gang
of criminals stole a total of $45 million in a matter of hours by hacking their
way into a database of prepaid debit cards and then draining cash machines
around the globe, federal prosecutors said Thursday - and outmoded U.S. card
technology may be partly to blame.
COMMENTS:
What the story doesn’t tell you is that banks have you sign
an ACH agreement that says, in essence, they are not responsible for unauthorized
ACH withdrawals from your account unless you specifically have refused to allow
such transactions.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Now that the Arias verdict is in, what are your
thoughts? (Clarice ~ Milpitas, CA)
A. In a truly just society, she should have been summarily
marched out of the court room and straight to the firing squad, manned by life
members of the NRA. Is there anyone out there who believes that this
murder would have been prevented had there not been a gun available?
Q. Why aren’t more Americans raising hell about the new
ObamaCare law? (Brandy ~ Williams, AZ)
A. Believe it or not, a recent survey reflects that 42% of
Americans don’t realize that ObamaCare has become the law of the land. Of those aware of the act and the fact it is
now law, only 35% view it favorably. I
think it’s a matter of ignorance. What
we need to do is to reach that 42% and explain not only the facts of ObamaCare,
but the facts of Obama in particular. Are
you willing to jump in and help to do that?
Q. Do you think the Benghazi Massacre could have been
prevented? (Terry ~ American Falls, ID)
A. Yes, absolutely.
All other countries with embassies or consulates there had packed up and
left. We had warnings that some attack
was imminent. Ambassador Stephens
requested additional security and was denied.
Once the attack was under way, military assistance was refused. If this
doesn’t add up to a deliberate massacre of those at Benghazi, what does? The major and crucial question that has not
yet been asked is: Why did we allow them to be massacred? Why?
TODAY’S QUOTE:
“It's impossible to consider living without ideals. However,
when ideas lead to ideology, that's a very dangerous thing. Ideology then leads
to creating the image of an enemy, and it leads to the murder and massacre that
we've seen since the beginning of time.” ~ Michael Haneke
