ABOLISH THE I.R.S.?

Hundreds of conservative groups and organizations have been targeted for income tax audits and had requests for non-profit status delayed while liberal and administration-friendly groups have enjoyed immunity and unhindered approvals.  The Libertarian Party is advocating for abolition of income taxes, ObamaCare and the I.R.S.  "We must abolish the IRS and end any need for a regulatory agency that snoops into people's private lives," said Libertarian Party Executive Director Carla Howell. "We must draw back total federal spending to the level of 1992, which is more than enough to fulfill the government's constitutional duties to protect our life, liberty, and property. This will allow us to balance the budget immediately, end the federal income tax completely, and give back an average of more than $12,000 to every family in America."

COMMENTS:
While outgoing “Acting” IRS Commissioner Steven T. Miller acknowledges that there was “targeting,” he denies that such “targeting” was politically motivated; but, there is also no allegation that any liberal group faced similar I.R.S. issues.  Indeed, anyone who openly supported Romney, who openly criticized the Obama dynasty or who in other ways “pissed the President off” seems to have been targeted.   As long as the I.R.S. exists, and especially now with added powers in the ObamaCare scheme, the risk of incumbent political parties taking an opportunity to target perceived enemies exists. No law can prevent it unless the law is adhered to, which depends on the individual character of the parties involved.  I agree with the Libertarian Party and Obama has proven me to be correct.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How long do you think it will take to impeach Obama?  (Susan ~ Boise, ID)
A. It’s a two stage process:  (1) the House considers and votes one or more Articles of Impeachment, and (2) the Senate determines whether or not the President is guilty of one or more of those Articles.  If, and that’s a monumental if, the House were to start the process tomorrow, it would take at least a year to work its way through investigations, hearings, committees and onto the floor of the House.  That’s a bare minimum.  Then, you have more hearings and political speech, followed by the vote.  Then it goes to the Senate to determine that the Articles constitute Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors and that the President is guilty thereof.  The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presides.  That would easily take another 30 to 60 days, and the vote required is two thirds, or 66.67% of those present, (67 out of 100).  So, you’re looking at over a year at best, probably closer to 18 months, until judgment day.  Barring any blatantly smoking gun, I can’t fathom the Democratic-controlled Senate delivering a 2/3 vote to impeach Obama.

Q. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why the country is not in an uproar about all of this, Benghazi in particular.  (Rafael ~ Burlington, IA)
A. The mainstream media has not been covering this stuff.  The only way people are exposed to it is through cable and FOX or THE BLAZE in particular and they are not included on basic cable.  Hopefully, now that the press has been openly attacked and lies have been told in response to questions, the mainstream media will start picking up on it.  I wholeheartedly recommend that people get onto the Internet and visit both www.theblaze.com and www.foxnews.com on at least a daily basis. Those who do are, in fact, very upset at what's been going on.

Q. Do I understand that the Department of Justice AP scandal includes a telephone in the House [of Representatives] Cloakroom?  (John ~ Hawthorne, NV)
A. Yes.  As I understand it, there is a phone in the cloakroom used by the press to talk with members of Congress, as well as press associates.  The phone records of that phone were subjected to the DOJ intrusion, again without court approval.  My hope is that the mainstream media will get ticked off enough to realize that they, as well as the American public, are being played as suckers by the Obama Administration.
