COMMENTS:
Surveillance cameras at intersections were billed as a means
to determine the causes of accidents; they “will never be used to issue
citations,” was the devout promise at the time.
They are now routinely used to issue tickets for running red lights,
speeding and making illegal turns. Information
from the black boxes will certainly find their way to insurance companies to
determine your rates and to traffic cops to issue speeding citations. Right now, the technology and data systems
exist to gather information about the sizes of food packages you buy, to
compare those sizes to the number of people in your household, and to issue you
increased health premiums if you are overeating. The fact that we now have the technology to
finally create “1984” is not being lost by the government as it snoops more and
more into your mind and life and what makes them tick.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. If they allow tax increases on the rich and do agree to
spending cuts, will that really solve our problems? (John ~ San Jose, CA)
A. No way. In the first
place, Obama’s team insists on counting decreased spending on war, which was
going to decrease anyway, toward “cuts.”
Secondly, he has asking for $1.6 trillion in increased spending; if they cut that to $1.1 trillion in increased spending, he intends to count
that as a $500 billion savings. There
will be no “real” cuts to “real” spending, and any “deal” they come up with
will only be a sham upon the American people bringing us ever closer to
Greece. Neither party has the guts to do what is right.
Q. What do you think about Jim DeMint leaving the Senate and
going to the Heritage Foundation?
(Terrence ~ Phoenix, CA)
A. It just proves what I have been saying about the
Republicans. They are now deliberately chasing
conservatives away and moving further to the left in a last, desperate attempt
to save their party from extinction. And
yes, once more I say they should put themselves out of their misery and just
join up with the Democratic Party.
Q. I hear there is bad malware infecting cell phones? (Lillibeth ~ Logan, UT)
A. Yes. You need to
get virus protection for your Androids and iPhones.
