Heated discussions about voter I.D. have been on the front
burner lately, but little has been said about a new Department of Agriculture
regulation that all chickens and other poultry being transferred from
state-to-state or out the country must have identification papers in their
possession. Many farmers worry the rules
would send them on a literal wild goose chase, forcing them to catch and hold
down each bird to attach an identification tag.
The USDA wants the tags to be a leg band, which would have to be changed
frequently as they grow.
COMMENTS:
If there is a sick bird, the whole flock gets exterminated,
so where is the need for this? This
conjures up images of Government agents, armed with submachine guns and
handcuffs, raiding the coop at midnight and arresting offending fowls. Officials have not said whether they would
check animals for identification at traffic stops. Next thing you know, they’ll be requiring seat
belts as well. However, I suppose that illegal chickens, the ones from Mexico, will not be subject to the new rules; they'll be able to move around the country freely. Truly, all of Obama’s
chickens must be coming home to roost,
but not without their papers.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I think Romney needs to come clean about his association
with Bain Capital. He was obviously
there later than when he has said and therefore is responsible for sending all
of those jobs overseas. Why won’t he own
up to that? (Gordon – San Francisco, CA)
A. Because the allegation is an outright lie. Why won’t Obama prove to us that he was not
born in Kenya? Why do you believe
everything Obama says when the only truth he has ever spoken to the American people is that he
fundamentally wants to change the country?
Wake up and get your head out of your rear end, if you can manage to do that.
Q. Why is Obama refusing to apologize to Romney for his
campaign ads indicating Romney probably committed a felony regarding Bain
Capital? (Hoppe ~ Yreka, CA)
A. Because he is a self-centered, egotistical, manipulating,
lying and most consummate prick.
Q. There was a plot to assassinate Sheriff Joe Arpaio? (Shelly ~ Riverton, WY)
A. The sheriff’s office reports that three maximum security
inmates were arrested for conspiracy to commit murder “stemming from a complex
plot” that involved the assassination of the sheriff as well as a plot to murder
another inmate. There is no evidence yet
that White House or Justice Department was involved.
