At least 12 secret service members on assignment in Columbia
are in trouble. One allegedly brought a
prostitute into his room. Military
officials said yesterday that the service members violated curfew and "may
have been involved in inappropriate conduct.”
A dispute in the Hotel Caribe about paying for an extra "guest,"
started a confrontation that ultimately led to sending home at least a dozen
Secret Service agents covering the detail of President Obama's trip in Colombia.
COMMENTS:
Well, in defense of the one agent, just because you invite a
prostitute to your hotel room doesn’t mean that anything was wrong; she could
have been his daughter, or maybe he just wanted someone to talk with. What I’d really be interested in is more
sublime; did they have clowns and mimes and musicians in their midst? Were they in lavish suites? Were they eating caviar, steak and
lobster? Would we be surprised if they
were?
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why does Obama insist on raising taxes without cutting
spending? (Irma ~ Watsonville, CA)
A. Because he wants to continue funding lavish parties at
the GSA, expensive trips abroad for his teenage daughter, and assistance to
Brazilian oil drilling; and he wants to bail Solyndra out of bankruptcy. If that sounds sarcastic and facetious, think
about it.
Q. Has the furor over Obama’s outright attempt to take
Federal control over churches and religion in this country evaporated? (Angela ~ Tempe, AZ)
A. No. There is going
to be a national call for prayer over this assault to stop it and to create awareness
of Obama’s agenda. It’s coming up in
June, the two weeks before July 4th.
Obama needs to be crucified over it, pardon any play on words.
Q. I’m really ticked off at my Internet provider because
they have added a toolbar at the bottom of my email pages and ads for Obama
keep popping up, blocking my content. I
can’t get rid of it. What do I do? (Stan ~ Fall River Mills, CA)
A. You must be talking about Frontier Communications in that
area. They added this “service” to their
site and email without telling anyone what they were doing. They never gave you the option to “opt
out.” I believe you are talking about
“Tum Tiki” and “Meebo.” Contact Frontier's tech support who will walk you through the several steps required to get that
bottom toolbar off your email; you will have to repeat the steps for each
Frontier email account you have. Then,
write them a letter or email complaining and start thinking about changing
ISP’s. You already pay for the service;
you shouldn’t be forced to have ads blocking your content as well, especially
when they’re for Obama. But, this is
only the beginning of his political campaign this year. He’s got lots of money to spend and you might
even soon see his gloomy face on individual sheets of toilet tissue.
