HAPPY EASTER: OBAMA RIPS ROMNEY

"He said that he's 'very supportive' of this new budget, and he even called it 'marvelous' -- which is a word you don't often hear when it comes to describing a budget," Obama said during a speech on Tuesday, before adding, "It's a word you don't often hear generally."  Obama is now trying to define his presumed opponent as an out-of-touch multi-millionaire who would cut social programs for the elderly and the middle class while promoting policies to help the rich.

COMMENTS:
Actually, I agree with that characterization.  Nevertheless, we all know what we have in the White House right now, and he’s far worse than any Republican could ever be.  I just wish we’d pick some other candidate.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I heard something Friday about bad economic signs starting to show again.  Can you fill me in?  (Ashton ~ Sedona, AZ)
A. Employers hired far fewer workers in March than in previous months.  Economists are saying this appears to be the beginning of a trend and the economy could tank again.  Will this leave the door open for another Obama “stimulus?”  How about re-starting some of those “shovel ready” projects?  Maybe we should have some more GSA parties and get the economy cooking again.

Q. You have said many times that the Republican Party hierarchy was bound and determined to have Mitt Romney as the 2012 nominee.  Now, I hear work is leaking out of Washington that you were absolutely correct.  Can you elaborate?  (Sylvester ~ Fresno, CA)
A. According to Politico and Newsmax, some Republicans are accusing the Republican National Committee of engaging in tactics that helped Mitt Romney become the front-runner.  The criticism aimed at the RNC includes charges the committee allowed states to jump line in the primary schedule, breaking party rules without penalty.  Politico reported Friday that some party members have also accused RNC officials of using a tracking system that padded Romney’s tally of delegates as the primary and caucus season progressed, and that party staffers, have been too cozy with the Romney campaign.

Q. Whatever happened to Obama’s new budget that was announced in January and why aren’t we hearing more about it?  (Callie ~ Redding, CA)
A. The House turned it down last week by a vote of 414 to 0.  The defeat was so embarrassing that the media doesn’t dare to tell the store or Obama will have his wrath.
