SENATE PREPARING ANTI-IRANIAN RESOLUTION

There’s a move afoot in the U.S. Senate to create a bill that would not allow the President to simply “contain” Iran’s nuclear program; having enrichment in exchange for some sanction, for example, would be out of the question.  This would mean that Obama would be forced to completely stop Iran’s nuclear program, even if it meant war.

COMMENTS:
So, the Bill passes the Senate and the House will also certainly pass it and Obama will veto it.  Now what?  There are surely not enough votes in the Senate to override the veto.  All of this seems to be political grand-standing and much ado about what will be nothing.  Why don’t they do something meaningful, such as killing ObamaCare?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Now that Rick Santorum has three big wins under his belt, it looks like a new ball game.  Of the four remaining candidates, who do you like in order from best to worst?  (Ollie ~ San Luis Obispo, CA)
A. Gingrich, Santorum and Romney/Paul in that order, with Romney and Paul being tied for last place.

Q. In light of the California legal case on gay marriage, what do you think of Washington State’s new approval of gay marriage?  (Tucker ~ Red Bluff, CA)
A. I think I’ve already said it in MY AMERICAN OPINION.  If Washington wants to accept gay marriage, that’s their decision.  If Californians want to ban gay marriage, that’s their decision.  It is a states’ rights issue and the Federal government has no business sticking its stinkin’ nose into the subject matter.  The Federal Judge who overturned 70% of California voters should be disbarred, tarred and feathered.

Q. A few years back, the NCAA told Universities using Indian names or sayings for their sports teams to stop it or be expelled from the NCAA.  Now, with popular support, the University of North Dakota plans to revert back to its old team nickname of the Fighting Sioux.  I know you live and work among Indians.  What’s your take on this?  (Ivan ~ Salt Lake City, UT)
A. Calling a team the “Dixie Niggers” would be outrageous and totally unacceptable.  I actually think that “Fighting Sioux” is honoring the Sioux Nations for their bravery and fighting spirit.  Calling a women’s basketball team the “Ugly Squaws” would be unacceptable.  Having a hard and fast rule is stupid and ridiculous.  Common sense should prevail, but the liberal thinkers in this country have none and therefore, I suppose, is the reason for the rule.
