COMMENTS:
If I recall correctly, the U.S. Commander of the Afghanistan operation, General Stanley McChrystal, told President Obama his need for additional troops was immediate, and Obama shunned him for weeks. When Obama finally did act, it was with fewer troops than requested and in a sequential time-delay mode. Obama gets the full blame on this one; he was warned by many people to listen to his chosen commander and to react promptly. I think he was too involved in getting his health care passed. TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. You predicted that the Senate and House would have the Health Care Plan passed and on the President’s desk by now. What happened? (Fred ~ Sparks, NV)A. Thanks to the American public, things have been stalled. The Massachusetts Senate Race and the CBO intervened. Another “deadline” for passage has passed. Maybe America has finally had its fill? Take the Massachusetts election, for example.
Q. Why did Brown win in Massachusetts? (Chloe ~ Philadelphia, PA)
A. There are a lot of guesses going around. I think it simply was a vote for the better, more patriotic American candidate. Massachusetts may be a totally Democratic state, but they are patriotic Americans first and foremost.
Q. Do you think Martin Luther King Jr. would approve of Obama’s Presidency? (Carla ~ Fair Oaks, CA)
A. No. King was an American first and always.
