SENATE GETTING SECRET HIDEAWAYS

The Capitol is adding a new perk for our illustrious Senators: unmarked secret hideaways in the bowels of the Senate chambers. This will allow Senators to hold secret meetings, or to just get away from their jobs on the Senate floor without being disturbed by angry taxpayers and news reporters.

COMMENTS:
Now we go from screwing the public to playing hide-and-go-seek? Why don’t we throw in a merry-go-round, a few slides and some monkey bars?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. There was another security scare, this time at JFK Airport yesterday. When will the TSA and other officials get their act together? (Yvonne ~ Dover, NH)
A. I don’t know that anyone in this Administration is taking their job seriously. It could be much worse: they could be unionized, which Obama is in favor of doing. Maybe, if we made them fly on a daily basis, they’d get better at making sure proper security is in place.

Q. How can they be giving special tax breaks to union members? Isn’t that unconstitutional? (Mickey ~ Winston-Salem, NC)
A. Not according to Reid, Pelosi and the S.E.I.U.

Q. I hear that British scientists have been able to turn stem cells into pork? (Gary ~ Medford, OR)
A. Just what we need, more politicians.
