PALIN GETS A JOB: FOX!

Late yesterday afternoon, the word came out that Sarah Palin is finally taking a job with Fox Broadcasting. She’ll be a political commentator.

COMMENTS:
Valerie Jarrett and the Prez must have had serious hissy fits over that news! If I’d had any inkling this was going to happen, I would have purchased loads of stock in a toilet tissue company. Maybe Glenn Beck will share his red phone with her?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Is the Republican Party, under the direction of Michael Steele, ready to take back some Congressional seats in the 2010 elections? (Nick ~ Barstow, CA)
A. The Republican Party has yet to display any discernable quality of leadership, including Michael Steele. Maybe they can try finding one on American Idol.

Q. Do you think there will be a big turnover of seats in Congress in November? (Chet ~ Waco, TX)
A. Yes. I think almost every seat up for election will have a new resident but, unless there is a drastic change, new Democrats will be replacing incumbent Democrats. I see some gains for Republicans, but not anything to get excited about. However, the fresh blood will hopefully get the message across that all Americans, regardless of political leaning, are totally upset with what they have seen on Capitol Hill for the last few decades. Right now, the Republicans don’t have the slightest idea of who they really are, with the possible exception of…Sarah Palin.

Q. The Terminator offered a very strict budget to California last week and the legislators have been quick to say they will not pay any attention to it. What do you think will happen? (Terrie ~ Hollister, CA)
A. The only alternative they have is to raise taxes. If they do that, they’d better outlaw and confiscate all guns first, or some of those in Sacramento might get shot. What got them into this mess is the same cavalier attitude about governance that now infests Washington. Maybe a good, stiff dose of Ex-Lax will help relieve their problem, although I think that is a very remote possibility.
