The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is having a hearing today that could blow Tim Geithner off the map. “The hearing will examine the federal bailout of American International Group (“AIG”), the payment of $62.1 billion to counterparties of AIG’s credit default swaps (“CDS”), and efforts to conceal information about these payments from the American people,” according to a special House Report.
