REID’S APOLOGY TO OBAMA: Racial Overtones?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, (Democrat from Nevada), called President Obama Saturday to apologize for remarks he made during the 2008 political campaigns. Reid had then referred to Obama in private talks as "light-skinned" and speaking "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one," according to a new book on the campaign by journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann. The apology came after the renowned Senator Cleanface realized that his earlier remarks might hurt his reelection campaign.

COMMENTS:
One must presume that, if Prince Harry was not running for reelection, the apology would not have been forthcoming.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Who do you distrust the most, Obama, Reid or Pelosi? (Quint ~ Arlington, TX)
A. Yes.

Q. Did you feel that big earthquake near Ferndale, CA on Saturday way up there on top of Mt. Burney? (Garth ~ Galveston, TX)
A. I felt the water splash in the commode. Whoooopie! I haven’t been that moved since Obama’s Nobel Prize acceptance speech.

Q. If you were President, how would you deal with terrorists? (Nanners ~ Montpelier, VT)
A. I surely would not give them their Miranda Rights and let them plea bargain in a civilian court. Maybe I’d lock them up in a back room in the Capitol with Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Rahm Emanuel to talk health care. Now, that would be a fate worse than death.

TODAY’S QUOTE:
“This is a scandal, ... This is only the tip of the iceberg. ... We're talking about billions of dollars.” ~ Harry Reid, (before he learned the word “trillions.”)
