CALIFORNIA VOTER FIASCO?

The LOS ANGELES TIMES is reporting that as many as 500,000 voters may be disenfranchised from voting in the upcoming primary due to a registration error.  In trying to change their party affiliation to become an independent, they mistakenly signed up for the American Independent Party, according to the report.

COMMENTS:
Now, the Democrats are raising Holy Hell over this “travesty of justice.”  That’s because voters who are actually independent are allowed to vote in the Democrat primary, but not the Republican primary; and, if you’re registered in one party, you can’t vote in another.  But, if you’re going to vote, you should at least be literate.  The voter registration forms are quite easy to read and understand, and if you’re wanting to be an independent guy, you check the box that says “No Voter Preference.”  Further, if you know anything about California, you know you can change your registration all of the way up to May 23rd, thereby eliminating the need for concern.  But you know the Democrats; they’d rather yell and scream rape.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I don’t understand government thinking.  We have tons of people unemployed or under-employed and now they want to increase the minimum wage to $15.00 per hour.  Isn’t that just going to exacerbate the problem?  (Cecil ~ Dallas, TX)
A. In California, it’s already having an adverse effect; the University of California at Berkeley is laying off 500 employees.

Q. Why is Hillary fighting so hard against releasing the transcripts of her Wall Street speeches?  (Catherine ~ Ashland, OR)
A. Maybe there weren’t any speeches; maybe there were just payments in exchange for favors.  On the other hand, maybe she’s afraid people will pay attention to what she had to say on the second go-around.

Q. I think I heard that the Obama’s are moving to Hawaii after he leaves office, but my ex-wife insists he’s moving back to Chicago. Who’s right?  (Dwight ~ Pacific Grove, CA)
A. Neither one; they’re going to stay in Washington, DC, where they can keep a close eye on the new guy in the White House and make sure that he (or she) does a good job.  That way, when he gets President Hillary’s nomination to the Supreme Court, he won’t have to move yet again.
