COMMENTS:
Believe it or not, this is good news for Obama. He’s in such deep doo doo right now that he
needs some bold military action in order to retain any possibility at all of
being reelected. Now, he is gaining the
opportunity he needs; striking Iran’s nuclear facilities is probably foremost
in his devious mind.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. According to the news, a U.S. military officer has been
relieved of his duties for teaching that the U.S. is at war with Islam. Can you fill me in? (Liz ~ Casper, WY)
A. The elective course at the National Defense University's
Joint Forces Staff College included a slide that asserted the United States is
at war with Islam and we ought to just recognize that we are war with Islam. Some
soldier complained and the officer got booted while the course was changed.
Q. Will Obama survive all of this latest bad news? (Wilbur ~ Susanville, CA)
A. Only if he strikes Iran.
Q. I heard that Karl Rove went after Nancy Pelosi yesterday
on Fox News. What happened? (Nancy ~ Corte Madera, CA)
A. Back in the Bush era when Rove was White House Chief of
Staff, Pelosi fired off a gleeful volley about clapping him in irons and
marching him off to prison. She has just recently popped off with, “I could
have arrested Karl Rove on any given day.
I’m not kidding. There’s a prison here in the Capitol. If we had spotted
him in the Capitol, we could have arrested him.” Rove responded on Fox with, “You
know, she sounds a little bit like Inspector Clouseau and a little bit about
the mad red queen. But you know, Speaker Pelosi was dead wrong in her assertion
today. I'm sure she had a good laugh, and it's nice to know that she dreams of
slapping me in her own personal jail, but didn't have any authority to do it.”
