FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler has announced he is putting
together sweeping new regulations that will categorize Internet providers as
public utilities.
COMMENTS:
Doing so will enable the government to tax Internet sales
and Internet providers. It will also enable
the government to regulate content and access.
This has far more reaching ramifications to the American democratic way
of life and our freedoms than ObamaCare. And just who is going to stop them?
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What would the political ramifications be if Congress
passes the Keystone Pipeline Bill and Obama vetoes it, then both the House and
Senate override the veto? (Gail ~
Laughlin, NV)
A. Obama would be virtually powerless, a total lame duck for
the rest of his term; the Democrats who voted with the Republicans in the
Senate to override the veto would be hauled out onto the Capitol steps, vilified
and pissed on by the rest of the Democrats.
Ewwww!
Q. I am once again flabbergasted at Obama’s game plan. He is going to veto a bill for increased
spending on homeland security unless Congress agrees to back his unconstitutional
illegal immigration orders? (Foxie ~
Durango, CO)
A. That seems to be how he operates: yes, he’ll sacrifice
national security to get his own way. He
makes Chicago politicians look like they should be on Ted Mack's Amateur Night.
Q. Did I hear that Microsoft is no longer going to support
Windows 7? Not only are they still
selling it in new computers, but I am absolutely in love with it and do not
ever want to switch. (Gordon ~ Saratoga,
CA)
A. Bill Gates and his company are starving for more
money. They want to force you onto
Windows 8 which many people don’t like at all, (including me), or onto Windows
10. So from now on, if you need help or
support, you are going to have to pay through the nose for it. They will continue security patches for the foreseeable
future, however. It seems as if Windows
are like drugs; once they have you hooked, they just keep leading you on and
on.
