An ammunition manufacturer in Bradenton, Florida, will
collect more than $15 million from the U.S. government after a judge ruled the
defense department infringed on one of the company’s patents, according to a
report by THE
BLAZE. In the
decision, U.S. Federal Court of Claims Judge Charles Lettow ordered the
government to pay Liberty Ammunition a lump sum of $15.6 million in addition to
a 1.4-cent royalty on every bullet it buys and receives until the patent
expires in 2027.
COMMENTS:
It’s just too damned bad that we are the ones to pay for
it. The money should be coming out of
Obama’s pocket. Since Obama is dead-set
against guns, why is the government buying ammo in the first place?
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I guess it’s a cinch Romney is going to run for president
again. I’m not that enamored with
him. Can he beat Hillary? (Ross ~ Redding, CA)
A. No way. I’ve never
liked him as a candidate. He proved how
worthless he really is when he let Obama walk all over him and flat-out lie during
the last debates. We do not need a wimp
in the White House; we need a real leader.
If I had to choose between Bush and Romney, I’d take Bush in a
heartbeat. However, the Republicans seem
to like it best when they make fools out of themselves, so they’ll back Romney.
Q. Why did Paul Ryan back off running for President? (Hattie ~ Bend, OR)
A. Since Ryan uttered his decline over the weekend and
Romney came within a word or two of announcing he’s running on the same
weekend, I would guess Romney asked Ryan not to run. Hell, Romney might get trounced in the
primaries if Ryan ran.
Q. Obama is going to meet with Castro in Havana this summer.
I’m totally amazed. (Buckeye ~ Helena,
MT)
A. I predicted it right when Obama announced he was dropping
sanctions and having diplomatic relations with Cuba. It’ll be such a great time, those two
Marxists puffing on their Cuban cigars and talking about how to screw the
citizens… gun control… wealth redistribution… you name it. Then Hussein can get a quick 18 in at the Havana Country Club.
