On Friday at the White House, the President hosted lead attorneys, members of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and some relatives of the thirteen Topeka, Kansas families who sued in Brown vs. Board of Education in the landmark 1954 civil rights case. He remarked, “As we commemorate this historic anniversary, we recommit ourselves to the long struggle to stamp out bigotry and racism in all their forms.”

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. There’s so much talk about global warming these
days. What do you think? (Ruby ~ Laughlin, NV)
A. Don’t be ridiculous; it always gets hot in Laughlin in
the summer. The views of those who say
there is no global warming are being suppressed in the media and by the Al Gore
crowd. The rule these days among
liberals in control of the government is that if you present an opinion or view
that does not agree with theirs, it does not stand a chance of ever being
printed or aired. So, when a police
commissioner says something bad about the President, he gets fired, period. That’s why the White House is so intent on
shutting down Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. I haven’t seen enough evidence to
convince me that we’re not going through natural evolutions in climate.
Q. What was “Operation American Spring?” I never heard of it and they’re making a big
deal about the flop it made in Washington D.C. over the weekend. (Flash ~ Petaluma, CA)
A. I hadn’t heard anything about it either. Evidently the organizers, whoever they were,
intended for millions of Americans to descend on the streets of Washington and
to raise a big ruckus over Obama, Biden and the left-wing socialists running
our government. Only a handful showed
up. Of course, if you want millions to
show up you need to tell tens of millions. But, look at the bright side: Pelosi and Reid
now have something to crow about.
Q. The White House, Jay Carey in particular, was saying as
late as Friday that the I.R.S. targeting of Tea Parties and conservative groups
originated out of the Cincinnati office; this in the face of emails showing it
started in Washington. Where do they get
the guts to say these things? (Phil ~
Chico, CA)
A. These guys are so used to building stone walls that they
should have worked on the Great Wall of China. If this
is the case, why are they refusing to release emails between certain members of
Congress and the I.R.S. on this very subject?
They have more stories than the Library of Congress.
