I.R.S. DEMANDS $1.2 BILLION INCREASE

The Internal Revenue Service, mired in scandals, is now saying it needs $1.2 billion more than last year to operate.  This would bring their new budget to $12.5 billion.  The agency spent $100 million on new furniture in FY2010 through 2014, or an average of $25 million per year.

COMMENTS:
I’m truly and most sincerely sorry for their desperate need, but the I.R.S. can go to hell.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I can’t believe Mitt Romney came out the other day in favor of raising the minimum wage.  (Luke ~ Amarillo, TX)
A. He says it is important for the GOP to show commitment to minorities, especially Hispanics.  That is a B.S. statement to make. If they are producing, they should get paid accordingly.  Simply raising the minimum wage does not increase the national economy or contribute to its growth.  The way to deal with the Hispanic vote is to make the illegals qualify for citizenship and the right to vote just like everyone else.  The legitimate Hispanics will appreciate it and the illegals will be disenfranchised, as they should be.  And raising the minimum wage just so we can give illegals or a certain segment of the society more money is about as asinine as reelecting a no-good President just because he is Black.

Q. Tell me about the “Guns Save Lives” signs in Phoenix.  (Kelly ~ Longmont, CO)
A. Back in 2010, pro-gun activist Alan Korwin and his organization behind the "Guns Save Lives" campaign paid to have 50 of the ads displayed at bus stops in Phoenix, but they were almost immediately taken down after outrage from city officials who ordered the signs immediately removed.  The matter ended up in Court, with the Arizona Court of Appeals just ruling the action was unconstitutional.  Anti-gun enthusiasts are shell-shocked.

Q. Obama says that Americans must trust government more?  (Tina ~ Henderson, NV)
A. That’s what he said at a California fundraiser.  He “promises” that our government will look after our best interests. Anybody wanna buy some more ObamaCare?  How about a “slightly used” Air Force One, only has 1,000 miles on it and gets 10,000 miles to the gallon?  I’d rather climb into a bed full of venomous snakes than to even be in the same room with this “trustworthy man.”

TODAY’S QUOTE:
“I do not support raising the minimum wage and the reason is as follows: When the minimum wage is raised, workers are priced out of the market.  That is the economic reality that seems, at least so far, to be missing from this discussion.” ~ John Sununu
