200 MILLION AMERICAN CREDIT FILES STOLEN!!!

A massive breach of security has landed one of America’s big three credit bureaus and hundreds of millions of consumers in hot water. KrebsOnSecurity reports that a stolen identity marketplace run by a Hieu Minh Ngo, a Vietnamese scammer, hijacked and distributed as many as 30 million IDs, and he had access to many millions more. The credit bureau under scrutiny: Experian, according to a breaking news report by KIM KOMANDO.

COMMENTS:

I’m flabbergasted.  Credit bureau files contain everything about you… date of birth, Social Security number, credit cards and account numbers, savings balances, average checking account balances, mortgages, loans, employment and more.  The only people who know more about you are the NSA and the IRS.  It is absolutely imperative that you scrutinize credit card and checking account transactions on a daily basis and that you investigate and report discrepancies promptly.  Change account passwords frequently, keep your computer offline except when you’re sitting at it, turn your computer off when you’re not using it, be wary of phishing emails…. Double your awareness of everything to do with your finances.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. Can ObamaCare be fixed?  (Julius ~ Hollywood, CA)
A. The government has not been able to fix the post office after more than 200 years.  Granted, there are a few good things about it, but why can’t they be used in some new plan?  With all of the illegal, unconstitutional tinkering by Obama and Sebelius, I think it is far beyond repair.  Not even Putin could fix it.

Q. I understand that Romney donors are announcing their support for Jeb Bush.  Do you actually think he will get the Republican nomination?  (Will ~ Los Angeles, CA)
A. I mentioned several months ago that the Republicans would probably put him up.  At this point, I think it is written in the wind and we’ll have another Clinton vs. Bush election season.  In other words, I am convinced that we Americans no longer have a choice in the matter; don’t you think we should do something about that?

Q. What do you think Obama’s next move will be on the crisis in the Ukraine?  (Yolanda ~ Genoa, NV)
A. He’ll ask the United Nations to handle it.  That way, he can wash his hands of it.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

“Security is, I would say, our top priority because for all the exciting things you will be able to do with computers - organizing your lives, staying in touch with people, being creative - if we don't solve these security problems, then people will hold back.” ~ Bill Gates
