The Department of Justice, by all signs, appears to be ready to announce Federal charges against George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case. It has asked police in Sanford, Fla., to hold all evidence related to the case, including Zimmerman’s handgun.
COMMENTS:
This is blatantly as political and racist as you can
get. The F.B.I. and the Court have already cleared Zimmerman. Non-blacks need to take to the streets
and march in protest like the Blacks did in the 1950’s and ‘60’s. And we need to be just as mean and nasty as
they are, because they are out to rub our noses in the fact that they have a
Black President, no matter how much he is tearing this country apart.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What happened to that telephone call Obama was supposed
to make to Putin last Monday to get Snowden shipped back to the U.S.? You haven’t heard a word about it
anywhere! (Mary Sue ~ Union City, CA)
A. You don’t suppose Putin refused to take the call? Maybe Putin broke out in uncontrollable
laughter? Two probable indicators as to
what happened when Obama dialed the number: (1) It looks as if Snowden will get
some asylum in Russia and, (2) Obama is thinking about calling off a scheduled
fall Russian-American Summit. I hate to
say this, but the truth of the matter is the truth of the matter: if I were
Putin, I’d treat Obama the exact, same way.
Q. Here we go again, the President saying that if Trayvon
Martin had been white, the result would have been different. Do you think that’s the case? (Rosebud ~ Richmond, CA)
A. No. The jury was a
jury and I believe reached its verdict without considering race as a
player. I suppose we could also say that
if Martin had been Hispanic and Zimmerman Black, we never would have heard
about the case in the first place. He
also said that he thinks this generation had fewer racial tensions than prior
generations; I think that was definitely true until he started fanning the flames of racism. Thank
God for the Royal Birth; that’ll drown out everything in the news, including
the planned protests and marches, for the next week or so.
Q. I heard something yesterday that caught my attention,
that there is a “Civil War” going on in the Republican Party? (Aaron ~ Carson City, NV)
A. The “old guard” seems to be willing to go along with the
Senate’s version of amnesty in an effort to get more votes in 2014; the “new
guard” is tired of the same old horse manure and wants the borders sealed
before amnesty is put on the table. The
Democrats, and the Obama Administration in particular, have such a record of
broken promises that no one in their right mind believes the borders will be
sealed if amnesty comes first. If you
don’t seal the borders, why even bother to give amnesty? Maybe there’s some hope for the GOP yet.
