Judge Rosemary Aquilina, a Circuit Court Judge in Michigan, has ruled that Detroit cannot go bankrupt because bankruptcy means reduction of union pensions, which is against the Michigan state constitution.
COMMENTS:
In other words, the unions have them by their family
jewels. They will forever be in hock to
and under control of the unions. Somehow, I don't think that's legal.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think Chicago will ever come to grips that, with
the toughest gun laws in the country they have the highest violent crime
rate? (Marilou ~ Roseville, CA)
A. They have a plan. Chicago
law enforcement officials, realizing that curtailing 2nd Amendment
rights is not stopping deadly violence, will send friendly letters to
individuals deemed to have a high risk for committing, or becoming the victims
of, gun crimes, asking the residents to avoid shooting one another. Isn’t that innovative? You know what they say… “Think out of the
box.”
Q. Can we shoot down drones?
I hear that a town in Colorado is offering a $100 bounty on drones. (Denzel ~ Ogden, UT)
A. You can shoot down anything you want, but there may be
some ramifications. Deer Trail, Colorado
is offering the bounty. The FAA points
out it is against the law to destroy Federal property. My
attitude is this: they have no damned right to surveil my property without a
warrant. I say, it’s open season on the
bastards.
Q. Will the Feds bail out Detroit? (Hal ~ Tulsa, OK)
A. Obama can do anything he wants. Biden says they’re talking about it. There are a lot of union workers in Detroit
ticked off at ObamaCare. Obama needs
those votes in the 2014 elections. It
is, therefore, written in the wind. Yes,
they’ll bail out Detroit. Detroit is too
big to fail.
TODAY’S QUOTE:
“Now workers should have the right to join unions. But
unions should not be forced upon workers. And unions should not have the power
to take money our of their members' paychecks to buy the support of politicians
that are favored by the union bosses.” ~ Mitt Romney
