I have to tell you, I’m afraid. Above and beyond the nearly 10% unemployment, which Geithner is admitting is not going to go down, you and I know there is another 10% of people who are under-employed. Over 1 million new people became homeless over the last 18 months. And we have a President and a Congress who seem intent on making the problem worse with more spending, more national debt, and the inevitable increase in unemployment to somewhere between 12% and 18%. You’ve heard the word, “unsustainable.” Let me tell you, the continued direction this President and this Congress are taking… is unsustainable. Considering what they have done to us in their first year in office, what do you think three more years is going to bring? TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s your take on the reduction of nuclear weapons? (Red ~ Stockton, CA)A. Obviously, the U.S. has an abundance of nuclear weapons and I think too much ado is being made about reduction. However, I don’t think a unilateral reduction is in our best interests from a military defense standpoint. There has to be “tit for tat.” (I was going to say “quid pro quo,” but I knew that “tit for tat” would arouse the ire of the thought police.)
Q. Why has Obama so blatantly snubbed Israel? (Saul ~ Beverly Hills, CA)
A. Muslims have historically not gotten along with Jews. If you had been listening to what he was saying during his election campaign instead of being awe-struck by his eloquent speaking, you would have known this fact going in. Knowing what we do now about a lot of things Obama has done that we don't like, we would be well-advised to go back and listen and pay closer attention to what he was saying, the lies he was repeating, and the maneuvering he was going through when caught.
Q. Why isn’t Toyota stepping up to its responsibility on all of these car issues? It seems to me that they are doing everything they can to evade their legal obligations to the people who bought their cars. (Morgan ~ Blue Diamond, NV)
A. Maybe they’re planning to run for Congress?
