OBAMA HAS NO PLANS FOR IRAN

A confidential memo from Defense Secretary Gates to the White House reflects that President Obama has no real plans on how to deal with the Iranian nuclear threat. At the same time, Iranian President Ahmadinejad has ordered the United States to withdraw all of its troops from the region, including Iraq and Afghanistan.

COMMENTS:
While he has no plans, Obama does have his revered Health Care Plan and 15 million unemployed, so he seems to be content with things as they are. Besides, he’s busy preparing to get his Cap and Trade passed. Everything has its priority in life, you know.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I heard that some Indian tribe is being sued by Phillip Morris over a tobacco issue? (Quiroz ~ Brooklyn, NY)
A. No legal case yet, but Phillip Morris is funding a slew of ads aimed at Indian tribes in the northeastern U.S. in a stated attempt to force tribes to collect tobacco taxes on their sales. Tribes say such a move would force them out of business, which is undoubtedly true. That would increase Phillip Morris’ stranglehold on the tobacco industry according to reliable sources. I find it ironic that, had the Indians not introduced the white man to tobacco in the first place, Phillip Morris wouldn’t even be in existence.

Q. Why hasn’t the Tea Party started to announce who their candidates are for the November elections? (Margaret – Henderson, KY)
A. The Tea Parties, and there are literally hundreds of them in various cities and states, recognize that they cannot organize sufficiently to put on a valid campaign for November. They also know that any attempt to do so would split the Republican and independent vote and leave the Democrats in charge. Not that they are anti-Democrat, but the Democrats currently in office represent everything the Tea Parties are against, (as do many of the Republicans). I think that, if the Republican National Committee gets its act together and fields some viable new candidates with a strong pro-Constitution platform, you won’t see the parties evolve into a political third party. If things don’t drastically change after the November elections, however, watch out.

Q. I just heard a horrible story. A lady friend of mine said she sent in her 2009 Income Tax Return and it was in a big manila envelope. She says the Post Office now requires the address to go on the envelope like a business envelope, lengthwise. She said she mailed in her return with the address the other way, with the narrow sides of the envelope on top and bottom, and that the Post Office returned the mail to her. As a result, her taxes were mailed late and she has been fined $1,500. (Janice ~ Auburn, CA)
A. Wow! The deadline was just April 15th and she’s been fined $1,500 already? I don’t believe it. They do require that the address be affixed lengthwise, as you said. However, the country is so dead broke that I’m sure it is anxious to get her check and tax return and that she doesn’t have anything to worry about unless, of course, they owe HER money, in which case she might spend the rest of her life in a ball and chains.

“The quality of ideas seems to play a minor role in mass movement leadership. What counts is the arrogant gesture, the complete disregard of the opinion of others, the single-handed defiance of the world.” ~ Eric Hoffer
