HILLARY GETS READY TO RUN

The National Defense University will present Hillary Clinton with its American Patriot Award for being a leader who has “strengthened America’s strategic interests and advanced global security” in November.  She has also dined privately with Barack Obama one day and Joe Biden the next this week in Washington.  Some people in the know forecast a $1 billion campaign bankroll by 2016 and the Democrats are planning on controlling the White House into 2024.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think of the Bradley Manning decision and how do you compare him to Edward Snowden?  (Hermann ~ Shasta Lake City, CA)
A. If you’re to believe what Snowden says, his purpose in coming out with secrets was to let the American people know what information the government is gathering on us and how they are using it; in that sense, he’s sounding the alarm and sees himself as a patriot.  Frankly, I agree with that.  Manning, on the other hand, had no good motives.  He may not have seen his leaks as going directly to help the enemy, but he wasn’t just leaking methodologies either; he leaked some pretty sensitive stuff.  Neither of them deserve any journalistic protection because they were not journalists.  Manning deserves a good, stiff sentence and Snowden deserves a standing ovation.

Q. The Pew Research Center conducted a recent poll that reflects Americans want our government to keep its nose out of other governments’ businesses.  Do you agree?  (Georgia ~ Belen, NM)
A. Yes.  That’s why they refer to each one of our countries as “sovereign nations.”  We have no business “helping,” “aiding,” “providing assistance to,” “directing,” “coercing,” or otherwise interfering with any government unless they ask us to or the U.N. passes a resolution asking us to.

Q. I just read that police killed a 95-year-old man who was a resident of an assisted-living facility near Chicago.  He was tasered and shot with bean bags and died the next day of internal bleeding from blunt force trauma from the bean bags.  This man was obviously out-powered by police; this is a killing that should never have happened.  Why isn’t it being made into a major story like Trayvon Martin?  (York ~ Helena, MT)
A. Probably because he was not black and served no political or racial purpose for Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson and Barry Obama.  I'm also going to venture a guess that the police officers are black.

NO CHANGE IN TAXES FOR NEXT 50 YEARS?

The Senate is undertaking a study on tax reform, but has vowed to keep the study and its results top secret for the next 50 years.

COMMENTS:
That’s the first question: does that mean that they are not going to institute any tax changes for at least 50 years?  Frankly, I can’t imagine any Senator keeping his mouth shut about anything for 50 years.  If they’re serious about all of this, why announce that they are doing a secret study?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Sarah Palin is saying that the Republican Party would not let her go after Obama’s past associates or his lack of job knowledge; Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers were “off limits.”  What do you make of that?  (Adam ~ Fullerton, CA)
A. I think everyone would agree that McCain’s campaign was too clean.  It’s almost as if it was contrived that way on purpose, as if some deal had been made in a back room someplace to let Obama win.

Q. Here we go again with the new Secretary of the Treasury saying we have to approve a new debt ceiling immediately because nations are starting to wonder if we are going to pay our bills.  That line is getting a little old.  (Tamara ~ Santa Rosa, CA)
A. I wish the day would come when the taxpayers of this country would simply band together and refuse to pay any more taxes until Congress enacts new tax laws and deals objectively with the national debt.  We are a gutless nation; no wonder our government is running all over us.

Q. I hear that various mayors are leaving Bloomberg’s Mayor’s Against Illegal Guns group.  What’s up with that?  (Reggie ~ Ogden, UT)
A. They say that Bloomberg and other leaders have used the group to attack pro-gun candidates and to push for total all-out gun control, objectives with which they disagree.

OBAMA-LED ECONOMY PLUMMETING

The Associated Press is reporting that four out of five U.S. adults are in poverty or relying on government subsidies (welfare) in order to survive.  Hardship is particularly growing among whites, based on several measures. Pessimism among that racial group about their families' economic futures has climbed to the highest point since at least 1987. In the most recent AP-GfK poll, 63 percent of whites called the economy "poor."  The gauge defines "economic insecurity" as a year or more of periodic joblessness, reliance on government aid such as food stamps or income below 150 percent of the poverty line. Measured across all races, the risk of economic insecurity rises to 79 percent.

COMMENTS:
There it is in black and white, folks.  You can take all of the nice little statistics the Obama team puts out every month and put them in the shredder, because the real story about our economy is told above.  Do you think we can survive another 3-1/2 years of this Presidency?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. There was that big flap about the juror on the Zimmerman trial coming out and saying he was guilty; you said that she basically was saying Zimmerman killed Martin, but that the facts did not support a Murder 2 or Manslaughter conviction as the judge described it.  There was so much flack in the news, and then it just died like it never existed.  What happened?  (Ronnie ~ Carlsbad, CA)
A. This all started with an interview the juror had with ABC News.  ABC is now being accused of knowingly and deliberately editing the story and manipulating some of her statements to make it sound as if she was saying the trial was not fair.  To Barack Obama, Eric Holder, the liberal media, ABC News, Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Maxine Waters and all of the other lying and conniving bastards out there who are desperately trying to goad someone into killing Zimmerman off, I pray for a pox on them… a pox of the very worst kind.

Q. Planned Parenthood is going to have full access to all of the private data collected by the feds on me?  What in the hell for?  (Janice ~ Ogden, UT)
A. Probably because you read my posts.  The nonprofit will have access to ObamaCare’s Federal Data Hub. The database contains citizens’ information collected from the Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice, and includes Social Security numbers.  All of this information, being made available to every Tom, Dick and Harry who wants it, is abhorrent to me.  Why are we taking this lying down?

Q. I can’t believe what is happening to gas prices.  They are skyrocketing and no one is complaining?  (Fred ~ Sparks, NV)
A. AAA says the worst is yet to come.  We are currently 23 cents higher than this same time last year and heading higher.  Expect another 30 to 35 cents in increase before Labor Day.  If you don’t like it, ask Obama why he flatly refuses to okay the Keystone Pipeline.

PHONY SCANDALS = PHONY ELECTIONS

The President and his minions are flocking across the country and the airwaves proclaiming the recent problems of the White House as being “phony scandals” designed by the Republican Party to distract from the more important much more needed solutions of Washington, such as jobs and the economy.

COMMENTS:
Arguably, the correct scenario is that the IRS’ illegal refusal to issue tax exempt status to 501 (c) 4 caused those organizations to be less effective in the 2012 elections and thereby contributed to Obama’s win.  Arguably, the Justice Department’s illegal gathering of information on the Associated Press and other journalistic organizations, (who knows whether or not that includes monitoring of GOP Campaign officers and offices), contributed inside information to the Democrats and Obama’s win.  Arguably, you can say the same for the NSA data center.  Arguably, and this is a major, major point, had we known what went down at the Benghazi Massacre, (and we still don’t over ten months later), the election would have gone to Romney. Arguably, therefore, the November 2012 Presidential Election is the REAL phony cow in the room.  Wanna’ sit down in the Rose Garden and discuss this over a beer, Barry old chap?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Whatever happened with all of those homes we bailed out from foreclosure?  Since the Administration isn’t jumping up and down with glee and pointing to success, I figure something went badly wrong?  (Olga ~ Minnetonka, MN)
A. There were 1.2 million home loans bailed out.  Of those, more than 306,000 are in foreclosure again with 88,000 more about to get there.  The re-defaults have cost taxpayers some $815 million, according to SIGTARP. So far, the Treasury Department has allocated $19.1 billion to HAMP, and $4.4 billion has been spent. The program was recently extended for another two years, until the end of 2015.  I wonder if we can foreclose on the White House?

Q. I just learned that most of the 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition ordered by the Department of Homeland Security for “training purposes” are hollow-point bullets designed to kill.  What in the hell is going on?  (Luther ~ Santa Clara, CA)
A. Evidently, they either plan on killing someone or they don’t want you to have the ammunition to kill someone.  In Obama’s eyes, there’s more than one route to gun control; if you can’t control gun ownership, control the supply of ammunition.  There is a law that ammunition manufacturers have to honor government requisitions before civilian purchases, for obvious military reasons.  They currently have enough ammo on hand to last them through two or three world wars.

Q. Back when they had the Gulf Oil Spill in 2010, Halliburton was blamed for creating a bad blow-out prevention system.  Whatever happened with that?  (Horatio ~ Nogales, AZ)
A. For some strange reason, all of the records regarding the cement work on that well were inadvertently lost or destroyed.  After a whole lot of screaming and yelling, Halliburton has agreed to plead guilty to destroying those files and is paying a hefty fine.  Wouldn’t it be great if we could have the prosecutors working that case go after the Fast & Furious or the Benghazi Massacre story?

CRUZ: CANCEL OBAMACARE NOW OR LIVE WITH IT FOREVER

Ted Cruz from Texas is pushing hard to defund ObamaCare by refusing to pass any budget or debt increase that includes funding for the “Affordable” Care Act.  He alleges that President Barack Obama desperately wants the exchanges and subsidies in place by January so the administration can "get people hooked on Obamacare so it can never be unwound."

COMMENTS:
I agree with Cruz.  We need to get rid of ObamaCare and replace it with some strong legislation aimed at cost control.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. We keep hearing from Obama how great the economy is doing, and he starts citing statistics.  Yet, we also keep hearing about how dire the economy really is and I just do not believe the 7.6% unemployment figure.  What is your picture of the economy?  (Morgan ~ Carmel, CA)
A. Under Obama, 9.5 million people have dropped out of the labor force and 90 million Americans are out of work.  There are 15 million more Americans on food stamps, but that is undoubtedly due to the real unemployment facts and the 7.7% decline in family income.  More than two Americans have been added to the food stamp program for every “job” created.  A part-time or temporary job created counts as a full job created.  ObamaCare is adding to the rush of small businesses to cut back staff hours to under 30 hours per week.  Personal savings are depleted and people are turning to the use of credit cards to try and keep food on the table.

Q. There’s a legal case about requiring Americans to decrypt their electronic files versus the Constitutional guarantees against self-incrimination under the Fifth Amendment.  I can see both sides of the argument, since the case is about child pornography and officials are unable to determine exactly what is on some discs.  But, isn’t the protection of the Fifth Amendment paramount?  (Cornelius ~ Boulder City, NV)
A. You are correct, if you are a believer in the Constitution.  You are incorrect if you fall for the argument that times have changed and the Constitution is a “living document” subject to change of interpretation.  Anytime you allow existing law to be interpreted according to the whims of some judge at the time, you open the door to corruption and tyranny.

Q. What’s your opinion of Michelle Bachmann backing the NSA claim to the right to collect whatever it wants about whomever it wants without judicial oversight?  (Melissa ~ West Covina, CA)
A. She should know better.  If you give up your rights to privacy and freedom in order to achieve security, you are going to end up with neither your freedoms nor security.  It’s a lame excuse to allow the government to snoop into your private affairs.  The government has no business knowing who my friends are, how much money I have in the bank, how often I have sex or if I have hemorrhoids.  The Patriot Act and similar legislation enacted after 9/11 was designed to give authorities ability to gather this information after review of at least an administrative judge to show some probable cause.  I was in favor of it, but NSA has been able to morph it into the full time right to monitor anybody without review, and this opens the door wide to all kinds of corruption and tyranny.

57% OF AMERICANS WANT ALL OF CONGRESS REPLACED

That’s right: If given the option, 57% of Americans would just as soon replace every member of Congress.

COMMENTS:
That’s probably the only way we’re going to get rid of the corruption and outright refusal to do what the public wants.  But, I can’t imagine a Congress without Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Harry Reid and Charles Rangel, can you?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Yesterday, one of the jurors on the Trayvon Martin trial came out and said Zimmerman was guilty.  Now what?  (Bailey ~ Chico, CA)
A. You didn’t listen to her whole statement.  She went on to say that the instructions to the jury were that they had to rule that he intentionally, knowingly and with malice killed Martin.  So, she voted not guilty.  You and the press and media are now running around like Chicken Little’s thinking the sky is going to fall in.  She did not say anything that changes anything.

Q. California is talking about a new law to require employers to withhold 3% of employee pay and deposit it in a state-operated retirement fund.  It sounds like a good idea; what do you think?  (LeRoy ~ Riverton, WY)
A. The Feds have already run this scam; it’s called Social Security.  As soon as the pot gets big enough, the state will glom on to it.

Q. I suppose the President thinks I should sit in my car with the doors unlocked?  I don’t do that anywhere!  (Helene ~ Sausalito, CA)
A. Right on.  With as much crime as we have in the country, I drive with my car doors locked as well.  That was about the dumbest thing I’ve heard this idiot say in a long time.

NEW SCANDAL TARGETS VETERANS

FOX NEWS is reporting that The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), a division of the Department of Energy, (DOE), allegedly violated DOE hiring guidelines in a manner that was to a disadvantage of military veterans, according to a scathing IG report.  Following this report, the deputy secretary of energy issued a gag order that subordinates could not talk to anyone, including Congressional investigators, about the allegations.  BPA employees who cooperated with the IG’s investigation were fired, suspended or disciplined in other ways.

COMMENTS:

Just when you thought the news about Obama Administration scandals couldn’t get any worse, now we hear about an agency that targeted veterans, the guys who keep us free.  WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?  WHERE IS THE CRY TO PUT AN END TO THESE UNAMERICAN / ANTI-AMERICAN ACTIVITIES?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. I just got laid off for the fourth time in three years.  Things are really tight for us; it seems like we just get back on our feet and I lose my job and downhill we go again.  My husband and I had a long talk last night and he thinks I should stay off of work and get active in doing something political to help create change from the way things are going.  Where do I start?  (Midge ~Yerington, NV)
A. You’re living in what was once the political capital of Nevada; there may have been the population centers of Reno and Vegas, but Yerington controlled Nevada politics.  There were some really great American politicians who came out of that town, and some of them are still around.  Start by exploring the Internet.  Check out The Heritage Foundation; that’s where you should start because they provide a good basic reading into the issues of the day.  You can meander around the various Tea Parties if you want, but I think your time would be better spent checking out the top ten conservative advocacy groups.  This process should give you a feel as to where you might best fit.  Start attending some local city council or Lyon County Commissioner meetings; it won’t take you long to start networking in the direction you feel you need to head.  Good luck and God Bless You!

Q. Is there anything more about the family that was rescued by George Zimmerman?  (Cleo ~ Suisun, CA)
A. Believe it or not, they’ve been forced into hiding for fear of being harmed by those who hate Zimmerman.  Mark and Dana Michelle Gerstle “are very grateful to Zimmerman for what he did, but they do not want to get involved,” a family friend says.  I don’t know about you, but I’m just about ready to tell these idiots to go ahead and bring it on.

Q. What in the Sam Hell is this about military chaplains for atheists?  (Carlos ~ El Paso, TX)
A. Jason Torpy, president of the Military Association of Atheists and Free Thinkers, claims that 23 percent of those in the military ranks assert no religious preference. He argues traditional chaplains are not providing enough "positive outreach and support" in the way "they do for all of those beliefs that aren't their own." I always thought that atheists didn’t need anything from anybody, since they claim to have all of the answers in life.

MOST MUSLIMS WANT SHARIA LAW

A recent study by the Pew Research Center reveals that most Muslims around the globe want Sharia law to be the law of the land.

COMMENTS:
That being the case, we have every reason to be suspicious of our Muslim neighbors and their motives for being here… particularly those who affiliate with radical Mosques.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think Obama will try to bailout Detroit?  (Ariel ~ Corona, CA)
A. Yes.  Here are the considerations: (1) He’s promised the unions the moon in the past in return for their support at the polls, (2) historically, he’s been union driven, (3) the unions are taking him to task over ObamaCare and he needs their support in order to keep his flagship legislation intact, (4) the unions are crying like wounded babies about what is happening to union pensions in Detroit, and (5) if he proposes legislation to bail Detroit or the union pensions out, he may very well get it passed, but even if he doesn’t he will be considered a hero for trying and the Republicans would again look like spit.

Q. Anthony Weiner admits to more dilly-dallying.  Can he possibly win the New York City Mayor’s race?  (Saundra ~ Salt Lake City, UT)
A. Why not?  Religion, morals, ethics and the formerly strong foundations of the country seem to have died.   Nobody stands up for what is right anymore.  Oh, there are a few of us, but we’ve all been marginalized, scrutinized and sanitized by those who seem to know how best to finish the country off. If you’re not Black and/or carrying a Koran in this country, you’re non-existent.  And it’s getting worse by the minute.

Q. I am so disgusted with all of these laws and regulations that seem to be killing our country, breath-by-breath.  You’ve advocated “throwing the bums out,” and that started to work in 2010 but has since fallen apart.  What can we do?  (Phillip ~ Tucson, AZ)
A. I was reading an article by Michael Bolden in the PERSONAL LIBERTY DIGEST.  The essence of what he is saying is this: laws are only as good and enforceable as they are supported by the citizens.  What do you think Obama and his henchmen would do if the majority of the states refused to implement ObamaCare, jail 35 governors and attorneys general?  If the majority of Americans stood up right now and asserted that we were not going to pay another dime in taxes until we had a balanced budget Amendment and a $500 billion reduction in spending, you can bet your sweet bippees we would get what we wanted; they don’t have enough jails to hold 100 million people or enough tax collectors to come after us.  It’s simply because we have failed to unite firmly and strongly to make our voices heard that this crap continues.
