BP ARCO’S LOATHSOME ENVIRONMENTAL RECORD

The horrible oil spill now ongoing in the Gulf of Mexico is the latest in a long series of environmental disasters associated with BP ARCO’s history. In 2006, the EPA named ARCO’s Texas City refinery as the nation’s top polluter. 15 refinery workers died at that plant in 2003 during a horrible explosion and OSHA ruled that known equipment problems, failure to follow established safety guidelines, and inadequate training were factors in those deaths and injuries. In November of 2002, BP was fined for spill cleanup problems with a 60,000 gallon Prudhoe Bay pipeline spill; crude oil spilled to wetlands and leaked through ice cracks to a drinking-water lake. BP West Coast was sued for $319 million by California's Southland Air Quality Management District in March of 2003 and lost. An antitrust lawsuit was filed in December of 2005 against Exxon Mobil and BP by the Alaska Gasoline Port Authority; the suit alleged that the two oil giants conspired to eliminate competition for the exploration, development and marketing of natural gas from Alaska's North Slope to markets in the United States in order to drive prices of natural gas artificially higher.

In Yerington, Nevada, BP ARCO has been continuously stonewalling environmental investigation and cleanup of the radioactive-contaminated Yerington Anaconda Mine, which is now known to be leaking uranium and activity into groundwater below the site that flows to local residents and the Yerington Paiute Tribal Reservation to the north; the lives and medical safety of those residents is threatened since they all draw their water supplies from domestic wells located in the path of water migration.

COMMENTS:
BP ARCO’s poor environmental track record is much more extensive than has been described here.  I’d like to say that BP ARCO is getting what it deserves, but the environmental damage being created in the gulf is horrendous. When the water finally settles on this calamity, I suspect that they will be sued, found criminally negligent, and will fight tooth and nail to avoid responsibility. You can bet that their lawyers are already on it and, by the way, BP ARCO spends more on its lawyers every year than it would cost to just go ahead and clean up that mine in Yerington.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I think I heard someone on TV say yesterday that it takes more energy to manufacture and install one wind turbine than that turbine can produce in its lifetime? (Marty ~ Burney, CA)
A. Remember that when you drive by all of those magnificent new windmills going up on Hatchet Mountain. I have nightmares at night thinking that they represent Congress and now we’ll have Harry and Nancy and the gang blowing their hot air at us for the rest of our lives.

Q. I heard that all of the uproar about Arizona’s new immigration bill is nothing but a political plot?  (Chip ~ Chico, CA)
A. They took the language of the existing Federal Law, word for word, and adopted it as state law and now Obama and his cronies, the S.E.I.U., ACORN and A.C.L.U. are running around like the jack jackasses they are, braying that the law is unconstitutional when, if the government had done its job and kept the illegals out in the first place, we wouldn’t be having this dialog. I’m so damned tired of their crapola that I’m ready to scream. Their plan, you know, is to somehow legalize the illegals, through amnesty or otherwise, so they can vote.

Q. I hear they are trying to bar a minister, Franklin Graham, from speaking at the National Day of Prayer? (Ursula ~ Kearney, NE)
A. A Muslim group is trying to prevent the son of evangelist Billy Graham from speaking because of his anti-Islam remarks. The Pentagon previously disinvited him after Army leaders decided his comments that Islam is a "very evil and wicked religion" were a problem. I’m not sure yet whether or not the future of this country is going to entail learning how to speak Chinese or some Muslim dialect.

GOP CAVES IN: FINANCIAL REFORM WILL BE PASSED

The Senate Republican members agreed yesterday to quit filibustering the Financial Reform package and clear the way for its passage. They said that they felt there was not enough public support against the reform measures.

COMMENTS:
Once again, the GOP has shown its lack of understanding of the issues, their inability to articulate a sound position in a clear manner to the public, and their willingness to participate in another shafting of the American public. In this case, there were clear violations of existing policies and procedures put in place to keep this situation from happening. The principle responsible parties (PRP’s) for the meltdown were Barney Frank, Christopher Dodd, Tim Geithner, Barack Obama and the friendly folks at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack. In my opinion, these violations of the law and of fiduciary responsibilities were deliberate in order to create a climate favorable to another power grab by the Federal government. Yes, some reform is required, but it is more akin to slight modifications as opposed to the creation of more federal agencies and intensified far-reaching law. At this rate, the Republican Party may as well merge with the Democrats and get the damned charade over with. They can name their new party "The Progressive Socialist Party" which certainly is most descriptive.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Due to lack of time, and because I have something important to say, I’m not doing the usual Q and A today. I was called for Jury Duty in the Shasta County Superior Court. After having been selected for a Courtroom and initial panel, I was eventually excused on a preemptory challenge by the Defense Attorney yesterday. The trial is in the beginning stages in Department 7 under Superior Court Judge Stephen Baker.

Although I was dismissed and actually would have enjoyed serving because I have the rare time right now to do so, I would like to compliment this Judge for the manner in which he runs the Courtroom and the clear and fair explanations he gives to a jury as the process begins and as jury questioning proceeds. I think that any trial in that Court will be run fairly in all respects. If you ever have the opportunity to serve, do it with pride and honor. Our system of justice may have its faults, but it is still the fairest in the entire world.

I did not spend two days there without coming home with some important and pertinent knowledge. George W. Bush became the first Judge in the newly formed 2nd Department of the Superior Court of Shasta County in 1905. Perhaps that explains why he sometimes seemed senile while he was in the White House.

BECK EXPOSES $10 TRILLION CAP & TRADE MYSTERY

Valerie Jarrett was the first President and CEO of the Joyce Foundation in Chicago and later sat on the Board of Directors with Barack Obama, having been introduced by Michelle (Robinson) Obama. Joyce provided startup funding for the Chicago Climate Exchange, (CCX), which trades in energy credits under the new Cap and Trade legislation. The CCX will be dealing in $10 trillion and more in transactions and the 5th largest investor in CCX is a British firm in which Al Gore is a principal along with some former key executives of Goldman Sachs. Many top executives of Goldman Sachs currently work for Obama in the White House in key positions. Goldman Sachs is under investigation for fraudulent investment schemes. Word coming out of the Rod Blagojevich trial is that Obama was adamant in wanting Blagojevich to name Valerie Jarrett to the U.S. Senate seat he vacated to become President. Blagojevich has been charged by the Justice Department, (of which Eric Holder is in charge), with attempting to sell that Senate seat. Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, was reportedly a go-between in negotiations which also involved the brother of Blagojevich, and Emanuel became enraged when Blagojevich told him that the seat would go to the highest bidder, not necessarily Jarrett. John Ayers, the brother of radical left-wing terrorist and bomber Bill Ayers, with whom Obama was closely associated prior to his running for the Presidency, has been a recipient of substantial Joyce Foundation funding.

COMMENTS:
Earl Stanley Gardner, Stephen King, Alfred Hitchcock… none of them alone or together could write a thriller like this. It has me on the edge of my seat. Spend some time on the Internet today checking out this exploding story. Find out more about the Foundation, Jarrett, Obama, the law firm where Obama and Robinson once worked, Tony Rezko… You can have a field day and then you will begin to understand why I have been on Obama’s case since late 2007.You'll need to do some digging yourself, since I doubt the press or the media recognizes their American obligation to chase this down.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think the new Arizona immigration law is Constitutional? (Ollie ~ Manchester, NH)
A. I haven’t read it. I recognize there are allegations that it either doesn’t meet the Civil Rights Act test or that it somehow usurps the Federal authority in such matters. My guess is that it was reviewed thoroughly by legal counsel in Arizona at some level before being passed by the legislature and again before being signed by the governor. It is interesting to note that the people raising the most ruckus have either been ignoring the problem at the Federal level, have some political gain to be had by opposing it, or are illegals themselves.

Q. I see that Senator Ben Nelson from Nebraska sided with the Republicans against the financial reform legislation. What’s he up to? (Hy ~ Sacramento, CA)
A. He’s probably looking for another back room payoff or bribe.

Q. Why isn’t the media covering the “hidden” costs of Obamacare that are now coming to light? (Wilt ~ Orange, CA)
A. Because they have totally abrogated their responsibilities to the American citizens to provide fair and balanced reporting and to dig out and distribute facts instead of propaganda. They are acting like Obama clones, selling their souls for personal gain and agendas.

SENATE BATTLE ERUPTS: CLIMATE LEGISLATION ON “HOLD”

Reacting to violent demonstrations in Arizona over the enactment of tough immigration laws, the Senate yesterday placed a hold on deliberation of the climate “Cap and Trade” legislation. Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada is now considering legislation to overhaul immigration laws and to grant legal status to millions of long term immigrants unlawfully in the country in order to prevent a November election backlash by Hispanic voters. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina threatened to withhold his support of the climate bill if Senate Democratic leaders push ahead first with an immigration bill.

COMMENTS:
Oh, here we have another genuine “emergency” that just HAS to be handled immediately or there most certainly will be an “international calamity of magnanimous proportions.” Look for Reid, Pelosi and Obama to now have an amnesty bill drafted and shoved through Congress by the end of next week. I believe that the whole failure of the Administration to come to grips with this matter before this time was deliberate; obviously, he expects to gain the vote of his newly enfranchised 12 million formerly illegal voters in the November elections.  His reaching out and appealing to Hispanic voters yesterday was no accident and explains to me why he was willing to “sacrifice” Democrats with the passage of the Health Care Bill; he planned all along to have 12 million additional votes in his pocket.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s your opinion on Bill Ayers’ lawsuit against the University of Wyoming demanding the right to speak there? (Aggie ~ Logan, UT)
A. Every American has a guaranteed right to free speech, but that doesn’t mean I have any legal obligation to provide a venue for him. He can stand on the public sidewalk outside the campus and say anything he wants, as far as I’m concerned. Maybe he’d like to get his pal Obama to send in the National Guard and force students and faculty to attend? On the other hand, I’d love him to come clean in public about the true nature of his relationship with Obama.

Q. I understand Wal-Mart is in the middle of a big lawsuit? I haven’t heard anything about it. (Mike ~ Davis, CA)
A. Several women filed a suit against them in San Francisco in 2001 alleging discrimination against women in pay. It’s been bouncing around in Courts since, with Wal-Mart taking a beating in various decisions. Most recently, Wal-Mart was fighting Court decisions that lumped the lawsuits into a class-action trial and the 9th Circuit Appeals Court has ruled against Wal-Mart. I think the matter will now finally proceed to trial and, if the allegations are true, Wal-Mart deserves much more than a hand-spanking. The only instance where a woman should receive less pay than a man is if she is having a baby; if a man is having a baby, I feel he should get paid more.

Q. What is bullfighting? I just heard that some bullfighter got injured in Mexico. (Cindy ~ Tremonton, UT)
A. That’s when the President and Members of Congress go out into the stockyards and start throwing bull manure at each other; it usually happens at election time. It’s also an ancient art form where a toreador fights a bull that has usually been drugged or strapped with an irritating device. It’s a dangerous sport and, if the toreador wins, he gets the testicles of the bull after the bull is slaughtered. In this case, the bull didn’t want to oblige and tossed Spain’s top bullfighter into the air, thereby gorging him with its horns and seriously injuring him in a Mexican bull ring.

SOUTH KOREA: NAVAL VESSEL WAS TORPEDOED

A South Korean naval vessel that sunk on March 26th was most likely torpedoed, according to Defense Minister Kim Tae-young, who declined to lay the blame on North Korea which is widely considered to be the most likely suspect. The South Korean government has been careful not to blame the North outright, and Pyongyang has denied its involvement. All evidence points to an external explosion. The site of the sinking is near where the rival Koreas have fought three times since 1999. The two Koreas are still technically at war because their 1950-53 Korean War ended in a truce, not a peace treaty.

COMMENTS:
I know as soon as I say this that I’m going to be called a horrible war monger. The plain simple fact is that, in the years immediately following our use of the A-Bomb in Japan, nobody messed with us. Right now, we’re being taunted by North Korea, Iran, Al-Queda, Syria, Venezuela, Russia… And our President is running around bowing to foreign leaders and apologizing for America. It’s only a matter of time before one of the above nations, or some other tinhorn rogue nation, takes an overt shot at us. Then what? I'd much prefer to be in a position of strength and diminish the possibility of another world war.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How are they ever going to stop that huge oil leak in the Gulf? (Leonard ~ Tallahassee, FL)
A. They’re collecting wine corks from the Congressional Bar and Grill. Seriously, I thought that there was an automatic valve that shut off at the wellhead in such circumstances. Either this rig was too old to have one installed, or it malfunctioned. They’re reportedly going after the well-head with mini-subs, but it’s a mile down and who can see in all of that oil? This is a horrible disaster in the making and my first question is… was it really an accident?

Q. You really came unglued in WE’RE NOT TO BLAME yesterday, as if you had lost your cool. What did all of that prove? (George ~ Lynnwood, WA)
A. The Progressive lefties have been doing it for years and it’s becoming absolutely nasty and directed at Tea Party members who are America’s greatest patriots at a time when this country desperately needs patriots. Now they are claiming members are prejudiced racists and I felt that it was time people understand what the prejudices really are and that they are not racial. My rant not only lowered my blood pressure five notches, but it also will get theirs up. Turnabout is fair play when you’re at war, and we are; we’re at war to save our country.  The blog is mightier than the sword.

Q. Do you think anyone in Congress is listening to us yet? (Jasper – New Smyrna Beach, FL)
A. They hear us, but they are not listening yet. They’re still stumbling around in their stupors, blindly following the President, boldly going where no imbeciles have ever gone before. I truly believe that, once the dust settles after November, Obama may be totally isolated in his bunker at the White House, stewing over his grandiose mistakes of judgment about who we are and what we stand for. We can do this. We MUST do this.

HIP, HIP, HOORAY FOR ARIZONA!

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed into law Friday the nation’s toughest bill on illegal immigration. Its aim is to identify, prosecute and deport illegal immigrants. The law makes failure to carry immigration documents a crime and gives law enforcement broad power to detain people suspected of being in the country illegally.

COMMENTS:
And, Mr. President, I no longer care what you think. It’s irrelevant. YOU’RE irrelevant. For decades, the Federal government has failed to deal with this issue responsibly and according to the wishes of us genuine American citizens. I congratulate Governor Brewer and the Arizona State Legislature for having the testicles to do what’s right in the face of those of you in Washington who don’t care to do so.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Just what new rules do you think the Congress should create to deal with Financial Reform? (Steve ~ Redding, CA)
A. I forget who said it, but it is very apropos: “You can't legislate morality.” But, you can legislate yourself into a corner. The danger here is that we can put so many shackles on the issue that we hamper the free flow of the nation's economy. And, of course, in the process of legislation, we can fork over so much power and control to some obscure government agency that we, the people, no longer have the right or the ability to know what is going on.

Government agencies are not transparent. They never have been. Their managers take on a territorial "fiefdom" approach and it literally takes another act of Congress to find out what is going on.

The problem here was not so much with the system... We had a system in place. The problem was with the people involved... The Franks, Dodds, Obamas, Geithners of the world. While Bush was no peach in my book, his Administration did sound the alarm early on and Frank and Dodd and company stonewalled it and got their backs up. Bush's administration did not follow up by bringing the issues to the full attention of the public. In the same manner, the oversight of the SEC failed us when they allowed a culture of "porno watching" to evolve to the point of making the system fail.

What really needs to happen and is not, is that we need a full-scale 9/11 commission style investigation and we need to name names and attach blame and remove or severely limit the authorities of those responsible. We already have the tools to do the job, but Obama, Pelosi and Reid prefer to turn their backs on those tools so that they can justify creating another agency and seizing more central government control.

Q. Do you think the oil rig explosion and sinking in the Gulf will stop offshore oil exploration? (Andy ~ Goleta, CA)
A. It will certainly give the naysayers some ammunition. As long as I’m on a roll in this posting, I suggest we shut down all oil and gas wells immediately so that we’ll lose electrical power and thereby turn off the microphones and loudspeakers of some of these imbeciles. Oh…I’ll not be able to blog? Forget that idea….

Q. I detect rapidly increasing violence in Iraq. Are we really going to pull our troops out? (Uncle Jack ~ Boulder City, NV)
A. We have no choice, if we’re going to nuke Iran. The winds would blow the radioactivity straight over our troops. Uh, oh? We’re not going to nuke Iran? Obama has ruled that out? Well, maybe we should get our troops out of Iraq before Iran nukes Iraq. Yeah… that must be the game plan.

OBAMA, REID, PELOSI TURN UP THE HEAT (AND THE DEFICITS)

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he is going to ask for a vote on the Financial Reform Bill Monday and is daring anyone to try and filibuster it. The President’s Cap & Trade Bill, already passed by the House last summer, will also gear up in the Senate Monday. Both Bills will create new government agencies and will cost the taxpayers billions of dollars, but Reid, Pelosi and Obama are making it very clear that they expect to have these bills passed and signed immediately so that the Senate can take up the Supreme Court nominee issue and have it resolved before the summer recess. They are telling Republicans to get out of the way, that these will be passed and the cost to the taxpayer is not on the table for discussion.

COMMENTS:
I warned everyone I know that, if Obama got his health care passed that there would be no stopping him; that was the toughest of his agenda and he managed to shove it you know where. Now, there is speculation that the $500 billion in Medicare cuts that were used to make us believe that bill was deficit neutral, (which it was not, even with the cuts)… those cuts may not happen! In other words, the downright lies, deceits, untruths… are escalating. I don’t know about you, but I’m beginning to think November might be too late.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. There’s hardly been any real discussion, and the Senate is ready to pass a financial reform package. How can they do this? (Myrna ~ Annapolis, MD)
A. They have to get it passed so we can find out what’s in it, just like the Health Care. Aren’t you glad you voted for these assholes?  (Sorry to be blunt, but the term is appropriate.)

Q. What’s with the immigration issue in Arizona? I thought that was a totally Federal thing? (Eustis ~ Danbury, CT)
A. Generally speaking, it is a Federal matter and states can’t do much about it. However, when the Federal government refuses to address the issue and states have to bear the associated costs and crime, I believe the states do have a right to enact laws to deal with it. I thought Obama would deal with it right after he got his health care passed, but obviously he’s afraid of what the issue will do to the elections. Why, I don’t know; he’s not been afraid to crucify the Constitution over other issues.

Q. Do you think the current Tea Party movement will succeed in making changes in the way they do things in Washington? (Art ~ Sonoma, CA)
A. Absolutely. The movement is growing very rapidly and I feel it will soon reach 50% of the registered voters. The silent majority is awakening, and they’re grumpy. More and more Americans are tuning Obama out.

MCCAIN IN TROUBLE

Veteran Arizona Republican Senator and former Presidential candidate John McCain is in trouble in the primaries. As a result, he has now taken a complete 180 degree about-face on the subject of immigration reform and amnesty. His opponent, J.D. Heyworth, is on a conservative stance and McCain has been having trouble in the polls. He formerly championed a path to citizenship for the nation's roughly 12 million undocumented immigrants, but is now pushing for a crackdown on illegals amid the toughest re-election fight of his career. He’s moved to the right on many issues, including gay rights and climate change, and has even disavowed his long-standing maverick label.

COMMENTS:
This may be too little, too late. The plain and simple fact of the matter is that he has been part of the Washington political machine for so long that he became part of the “culture” that Americans want to dismantle. His abrupt about face and vote for the TARP speaks volumes about where he really stands on important issues. On the other hand, Heyworth served 12 years as Arizona’s Representative from 1995 to 2007 and also had to become tainted by the Washington “culture” to some degree. If it was my vote, I’d go with Heyworth, all the way. He hosts a conservative talk show in Phoenix and his consistently been more “right” on the issues than McCain who, I think, is a Progressive in disguise.  He sure acts like on on occasion.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I heard someone say yesterday that the Value Added Tax is unconstitutional. Is that correct? (Janel ~ Banning, CA)
A. The 16th Amendment reads: “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.” Up to that point, the right of the government to collect income taxes was questionable at best. The 16th Amendment does not give the government any right to impose a sales tax or value-added tax, according to the way I read it. Section 9 covers taxes, but seems to be to be somewhat vague and probably does not apply to sales or value-added taxes. Section 8, however, seems to say to me that Congress does have the power to tax. This is their power, not the President’s, so even if Obama orders them to pass a VAT tax, they have the authority not to. As a matter of fact, let’s not forget that they had the power, authority, and even the obligation not to pass the Health Care Bill.

Q. Is ACORN finally going away?  (Jerry ~ Lompoc, CA)
A. They'd like you to think so.  They are changing their names in various locales and "reorganizing" so that they will be harder to pin- down and recognize.  It's up to us to find out who is really behind any community organization before we get involved with it and, if they're involved with any political activity and/or receiving any federal money.  You don't want to get any Socialist diseases, you know.

Q. If you’re overweight, are they going to charge you more on your health premiums? (Harriett ~ Tooele, UT)
A. There’s been talk about it. However, if you’re an illegal alien, you definitely won’t have to pay anything.

STIMILUS MONEY FOR JOBS MISAPPROPRIATED

The City of Oakland, which has struggled with a 17.7 percent unemployment rate, received $3 million in Federal stimulus money last year for summer youth, adult and dislocated worker programs. A substantial sum was instead spent on trips to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and a Concord water park, rent, church repairs, bus passes, salaries and car allowances, according to a state review released Tuesday. More than $830,000 of the money received under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act from February to December 2009 was not properly accounted for or was misspent, according to the report.

COMMENTS:
As if we taxpayers didn’t know all along that these things were going to happen with that money. Everyone involved should go to jail for misappropriation of public funds.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think businesses will do in response to the mandatory health insurance? (Benji ~ Paso Robles, CA)
A. They have the following choices: (1) raise costs of the goods and services, which makes them less competitive in the market place against foreign-based firms, (2) move their plants and phone centers out of the country to avoid the mandate and remain competitive in the market place, (3) go out of business. You lose regardless of what they choose.

Q. Now radical lefties are accusing the Tea Parties of talking about extermination? (Phyllis ~ Davenport, IA)
A. I think the tea parties are planning of using rat poison so, unless those guys are rats, they don’t have anything to worry about. (Hey, fellahs!  Where are you all scurrying off to?)  Seriously, how absurd can you get? The FBI and other law enforcement would be all over it. And, what would it gain them? People saying such things are openly displaying their ignorance. My suggestion is for everyone to attend a Tea Party meeting in their area and to find out for themselves.

Q. Why do you really think Obama has refused to release his background records, like college and organizations? (Myrtle ~ Redding, CA)
A. Because there’s something in there he needs to hide.  Incidentally, and I said it way back when he was running, if he refuses such information how can he promise the country “transparency?” Sorry to keep repeating it but, I guess I was right again.

RIFT IN THE DEMOCRATIC RANKS OVER FT. HOOD?

A Senate subcommittee has subpoenaed the White House for confidential documents and the results of an investigation into the Fort Hood shootings last fall. A committee member is alleging that the White House is stonewalling on whether or not the shootings could have been prevented. "Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to avoid reaching the conclusion that the departments simply do not want to cooperate with our investigation," according to a letter accompanying the subpoena.

COMMENTS:
It’s not unusual that the White House would withhold such information where one party occupies the White House and a different party is in control of Congress. I don’t recall anytime where such a situation has arisen when the White House and Congress are occupied by the same party. Maybe somebody forgot to spike the punch? Maybe Rahm Emanuel forgot to get somebody included in the payoffs for voting yes on the Health Care Bill?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why is it that this Goldman Sachs thing is coming out right now when Obama is trying to get his financial reform package passed? Isn’t the timing odd? (Helen ~ Knoxville, TN)
A. For the same reason the Blue Cross premium increases came out when he was getting his Obamacare passed. You’re very awake… This is not a dream. They think we don’t catch on to their bull. Keep up the good work and smart thinking.

Q. What’s your opinion on the illegal immigration issue? (Willie ~ El Centro, CA)
A. You’re not going to like the answer. I believe anyone… and everyone who is here illegally and not in jail should be immediately deported. I don’t care if they’ve had kids born here who have become U.S. citizens or not, they need to go. They can leave their U.S. kids behind if they want, but they need to go. We did not create this situation, they did when they crossed illegally and it’s grossly unfair to those who immigrated according to the law. I’ve heard it said that we simply cannot send 12 million people back, and I ask, “Why not?” Sorry if you disagree, but the law is the law; we bend it and twist it at will, which is why no one respects it. If you want to change the law, change it. Otherwise, let’s just have anarchy, and we’re close to it.

Q. Some lizard told me that Michael Douglas got five years in jail? For what? (Lucille ~ North Hollywood, CA)
A. Even in rumors, there is some truth. His son Cameron got the five years for selling drugs, and he wasn’t working in a pharmacy, either. What kind of lizard was it?

THE IDIOTS WANT TO SPEND ANOTHER $100 BILLION!!!

Initial estimates for the proposed financial reform package now working its way through Congress are that it will cost $100 billion and create another permanent layer of government bureaucracy.

COMMENTS:
When will all of this spending end? When will all of this spending end? WHEN WILL ALL OF THIS SPENDING END? How can you justify spending $100 billion on this proposal when the plain simple fact is that it was PEOPLE who caused this economic debacle? We’ve had the correct financial regulatory structure in place since the Great Depression, but we had Dodd and Frank and others who twisted the arms of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to loosen up with the money and credit restrictions. NOT ONE DIME should be spent on this legislation until we have a bi-partisan 9/11-style commission investigate exactly what happened and why. Otherwise, spending $100 billion on legislation that is stabbing in the dark is nothing but another Obama lie and boondoggle… with our money.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Over the weekend, Joe Klein of TIME MAGAZINE called Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh “seditionists.” Who in the hell IS this guy, Klein, besides being a Marxist, Socialistic Commie? (Alex ~ Silver Spring, MD)
A. Calm down. You’re reacting, and that’s just what these characters want us to do. They cannot discuss the issues with any degree of intelligence and the minute someone starts discussing the issue with intelligence, they have no recourse except to yell, scream, and toss rocks from their sandboxes. What we all need to do is to keep our eyes and minds on the goal of getting new and fresh patriotic blood in Washington. As the Native Americans would say, “Don’t go chasing down rabbit paths.” Stay focused on what really matters and cancel your subscription to TIME.

Q. How can I find out more about the Tea Parties and who they really are? (Jan ~ Bieber, CA)
A. Crash the party.  Attend a meeting. There’s the Intermountain Tea Party and it is meeting at the VFW Hall in Fall River Mills tonight, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Take some time out of your schedule and go check one out for yourself. That’s what I intend to do. See you there?

Q. Now that a month has passed since Obamacare was passed, are there any new revelations? (Denise ~ Chatsworth, CA)
A. You want Revelations?  Grab your Bible.  Here's some more:
1: Senior care has been gutted. Jim Martin, chairman of the 60 Plus Association, laments that ObamaCare will lead to HUGE cuts in services for seniors, especially those on Medicare. The changes, he says, are so extensive that they will inevitably lead to rationing of care.
2: Bernie Madoff-style accounting. One of the most painful revelations about ObamaCare is coming through its unstated costs - the realities of budgeting and implementing this monstrous bill over many years to come. The bill's advertised price tag of one trillion dollars was sheer fantasy, as the CBO will finally now admit.
3: Americans will pay higher prices for everything. According to the Wall Street Journal, ObamaCare's cost to American corporations could reach $14 billion this year alone. They will pass those costs on to you and me in the form of higher prices, adding to the inflation that is already stirring due to printing too much money.
4: States are left holding the bag. Already in severe financial straits due to declining tax revenues, states will have to absorb the costs of Medicaid, costs that were not discussed during passage of the Bill.

There are more, but space and time are limited.

OBAMA HAS NO PLANS FOR IRAN

A confidential memo from Defense Secretary Gates to the White House reflects that President Obama has no real plans on how to deal with the Iranian nuclear threat. At the same time, Iranian President Ahmadinejad has ordered the United States to withdraw all of its troops from the region, including Iraq and Afghanistan.

COMMENTS:
While he has no plans, Obama does have his revered Health Care Plan and 15 million unemployed, so he seems to be content with things as they are. Besides, he’s busy preparing to get his Cap and Trade passed. Everything has its priority in life, you know.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I heard that some Indian tribe is being sued by Phillip Morris over a tobacco issue? (Quiroz ~ Brooklyn, NY)
A. No legal case yet, but Phillip Morris is funding a slew of ads aimed at Indian tribes in the northeastern U.S. in a stated attempt to force tribes to collect tobacco taxes on their sales. Tribes say such a move would force them out of business, which is undoubtedly true. That would increase Phillip Morris’ stranglehold on the tobacco industry according to reliable sources. I find it ironic that, had the Indians not introduced the white man to tobacco in the first place, Phillip Morris wouldn’t even be in existence.

Q. Why hasn’t the Tea Party started to announce who their candidates are for the November elections? (Margaret – Henderson, KY)
A. The Tea Parties, and there are literally hundreds of them in various cities and states, recognize that they cannot organize sufficiently to put on a valid campaign for November. They also know that any attempt to do so would split the Republican and independent vote and leave the Democrats in charge. Not that they are anti-Democrat, but the Democrats currently in office represent everything the Tea Parties are against, (as do many of the Republicans). I think that, if the Republican National Committee gets its act together and fields some viable new candidates with a strong pro-Constitution platform, you won’t see the parties evolve into a political third party. If things don’t drastically change after the November elections, however, watch out.

Q. I just heard a horrible story. A lady friend of mine said she sent in her 2009 Income Tax Return and it was in a big manila envelope. She says the Post Office now requires the address to go on the envelope like a business envelope, lengthwise. She said she mailed in her return with the address the other way, with the narrow sides of the envelope on top and bottom, and that the Post Office returned the mail to her. As a result, her taxes were mailed late and she has been fined $1,500. (Janice ~ Auburn, CA)
A. Wow! The deadline was just April 15th and she’s been fined $1,500 already? I don’t believe it. They do require that the address be affixed lengthwise, as you said. However, the country is so dead broke that I’m sure it is anxious to get her check and tax return and that she doesn’t have anything to worry about unless, of course, they owe HER money, in which case she might spend the rest of her life in a ball and chains.

SOROS: WE’RE ON WRONG FINANCIAL TRACK

President Obama’s staunchest supporter, billionaire financier George Soros delivered a stark warning that the financial world is on the wrong track and that it may be hurtling towards an even bigger bust than the credit crisis. Soros said the same strategy of borrowing and spending that got us out of the Asian crisis could shunt the financial world towards another crisis unless tough lessons are learned.  Americans need to horde their money; the worst is yet to come.

COMMENTS:
Is that the sign of a split in the Soros-Obama love affair? I keep saying that more and bigger financial calamity lies just around the corner. Obama’s insistence that our economy is cured is pre-November rhetoric and I sincerely think that by the end of November, Obama’s financial house of cards is going to come tumbling down.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. At the last minute, FOX told Hannity he couldn’t broadcast his Friday show from the Cincinnati Tea Party. Do you think FOX sold out to Washington power brokers? (Fragale ~ Clarksville, TN)
A. No, they made the right call here. FOX puts themselves out to us as being balanced and fair, and they do an excellent job of that. For Hannity to be the main event and to broadcast from a Tea Party where funds are being raised for the Tea Party by way of admission fees, implies that FOX is behind the Tea Party. Hannity put FOX in a bad position and they were right to insist that he do his show from New York. It’s just too bad they had to wait until the very last minute to do it.

Q. Do we have any idea yet how much Obama is going to raise taxes? (Hortencia ~ El Paso, TX)
A. $1 trillion over the next ten years, and he’s not done yet. The biggest chunk is aimed at individuals, including the elimination of itemized deductions. Also, he’s letting the Bush tax cuts expire to the tune of $340 billion. And, we’re still going to be running a deficit. He and his cronies on The Hill are leading this nation right over the cliff. As much as I dislike the arrogant s.o.b., I side with George Soros on this one.

Q. What’s this about a fraud by Goldman Sachs? (Seymour ~ Harrisburg, PA)
A. The charges relate to a complex investment tied to pools of risky mortgages. The Securities and Exchange Commission says that G.S. marketed the package to investors without disclosing a major conflict of interest: the pools were picked by another client, a prominent hedge fund that was betting the housing bubble would burst. It is interesting to note that many of the top G.S. officials are now working for Obama.

BUSH ADMINISTRATION DESTROYED EVIDENCE?

Growing evidence in the form of Bush Administration and CIA emails and other documents is suggesting that photos and video showing water-boarding activities were destroyed. Top officials were reportedly “at odds” over who ordered the destruction, according to a CBS News Report.

COMMENTS:
It proves my point: Corruption, crime and ethics violations have become a “culture…” a way of life… in Washington over the decades and that is why every incumbent, regardless of political affiliation, needs to be removed. That’s the only way we can destroy the “culture.”

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. On top of all of the Marxist and Socialist crap emanating out of the White House, now we have a Federal Judge ruling that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional? (DeWitt ~ Redondo Beach, CA)
A. I heard yesterday a call to have her impeached and that Obama’s administration should appeal this decision to the Supreme Court. I’m willing to bet that neither happens. The ruling will stand and soon, we’re not going to be able to cling on to religion anymore. That leaves only guns. Is that where we’re heading? Is that what this is all about, forcing a revolution?

Q. Why all of the renewed interest in where Obama was born? Hasn’t the Supreme Court already ruled on this? (Rogelio ~ Tucson, AZ)
A. No, they have thus far refused to hear it. I would suppose everyone is so angry with this President right now that they are praying for evidence to show that he’s not American. (Well, even if he WAS born in America, his actions seem to be un-American.) The guy is almost 49 years old. He’s literally interacted with hundreds, if not thousands of people on more than a casual basis over those years. He has tens of thousands of people trying to prove he was born in Kenya. You would think that, by now, someone would have spilled the beans, if that were true.

Q. Why is Obama trying to demonize or belittle the Tea Party? (Karrie ~ Alturas, CA)
A. Because he cannot control them or what they say. He’s always been in control of everything. Now, they are a force he cannot reckon with, so he’s trying to “dismiss” the threat by talking them down. Having visited with many of them, I think Obama may finally be meeting his Waterloo. They see through his lies, they do not respect his agenda, they see themselves as patriotic Americans and Obama as the enemy, and they are not going to sit down, shut up and get out of the way… come hell or high water.

CONGRESS, PRESIDENT REFUSING TO ENACT NEW ANNUAL BUDGET

There will be no annual Federal Budget this year. Instead, the government will operate by continuing resolution under last year’s budget.

COMMENTS:
It’s been done before, I think, but rarely. Obviously, they are deathly afraid of what Americans are going to say when presented with the disastrous state of the economy and what they are spending. Just more lies and cover-up, evading their responsibilities to the American people; they need to be removed.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Have you ever participated in a Tea Party rally? (Glynnis ~ Palo Cedro, CA)
A. Ironic you should ask. Yesterday, in Redding, Ca. They had about three times as many people as April 15 last year. It was a great experience; we waved flags at a major intersection and I would venture to guess at least 75% of the cars going by tooted their horns in support.

Q. Someone said to me they think the Washington “regime” is afraid of the Tea Parties? (Billy ~ Johnson Park, CA)
A. Yes, it seems the Tea Parties are giving the “elite establishment” some serious constipation problems. I hear that two truckloads of Ex-Lax were delivered to the Capitol yesterday. Obama doesn’t need any; he’s got Joe Biden.

Q. How long do you need to keep your tax records? (Gordy ~ Loomis, CA)
A. That depends on whether you cheated or not. If you cheated, shred them immediately. If you didn’t, keep them until the day you die. Be buried with them, because not even God is going to believe this….

FILE YOUR TAXES; SEND IN YOUR MONEY! THEY ARE SO ANXIOUS TO SPEND IT!

COMMENTS:
None required. I wish we could stop this runaway spending before it’s too late. By next year at this time, Washington, D.C. will be a ghost town and we’ll be paying our taxes in the new nation’s capitol …Chinatown.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s your take on the lady who sent her adopted child back to Russia? (Sarah ~ Dunsmuir, CA)
A. I don’t know what all of the fuss is about. It’s just like an abortion; she didn’t want the kid, so she got rid of him. The only difference here is that the kid in this case got to live.

Q. I heard on the news the other night that the California gay movement has decided not to put the gay marriage issue on the ballot again this year. Are they giving up? (Dulce ~ Ogden, UT)
A. They said they would be back in 2012. They are Pelosi Democrats who don’t seem to care how the majority of Californians vote. Citizens in other states have allowed gay marriage laws to be enacted and the California gay community is free to move there without forcing their views on Californians against their will. If the minority in this country continues to believe they have the right to dictate their views against the majority, they are nothing more than glorified fascists.

Q. What is your view on the movement to legalize and tax pot? (Tyrone ~ Folsom, CA)
A. I supported legalization of pot for medicinal purposes on the same basis that codeine and other drugs are allowed to be prescribed. My objection to full legalization of pot is based on the presumption that its use leads to addiction to more insidious drugs. Being an objective type, I am open to being convinced otherwise.  Outside of the addiction issue, I think pot probably poses less of a problem to law enforcement than alcohol.

150,000 DOCTOR SHORTAGE LOOMS

More discoveries as a result of the passage of the Health Care Bill are coming out every day. Now, experts warn that, at current graduation and training rates, the nation could face a shortage of as many as 150,000 doctors in the next 15 years. The greatest demand will be for primary-care physicians; general practitioners, internists, family physicians and pediatricians will have a larger role under the new law.

COMMENTS:
Market pressures will force the cost of medical care up, contrary to Obama’s promises. Waiting lines will increase. Quality of care will go down. No wonder Congress refused to take part in this themselves.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Is there really that much Medicare fraud? (Mitch ~ Fernley, NV)
A. Yes. For example, when Medicare lowered the amount it reimburses for a doctor’s visit, doctor’s got creative and started having patients come back for additional visits. There is a significant amount of over-billings and billing for services not performed. On the other side of the coin, how much is it going to cost to hire investigators to sniff out the fraud? Considering how much government workers are making these days, it’s not going to be cheap.

Q. Is it possible that we really could shrink the size of our government? (Sorkis ~ Bellevue, WA)
A. Yes. You could start by firing everyone who is not doing their job or does not know how to do their job. That would probably slice the size of government by over 50% right there, and we’d certainly clean out the White House and Congress in the process.

Q. Is it still unsafe to visit Mexico? (Lillian ~ Duluth, MN)
A. Absolutely. And, if you’re Jewish, stay out of the Sinai as well. The safety of the world is crumbing. The safest place to visit is home, under your bed.

60 PLANNED HOSPITALS CANCEL CONSTRUCTION PLANS DUE TO NEW HEALTH CARE LAW!!

More than 60 doctor-owned hospitals across the country that were in the developmental stages will be canceled according to Molly Sandvig, executive director of Physician Hospitals of America (PHA). The new rules single out physician-owned hospitals, making new physician-owned projects ineligible to receive payments for Medicare and Medicaid patients. Other existing hospitals may close or restrict services.

COMMENTS:
Nancy Pelosi was right. We’ll learn all about it, now that it’s been passed.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think about Michael Steele playing the race card? (Harv ~ Rio Linda, CA)
A. I think anyone who plays that card has lost touch with reality; we just elected a black President. You either do the job and do it right or you fail. If it was a matter of race, they wouldn’t have their damned jobs in the first place. Such “copout” rhetoric serves no purpose other than to stir the pot.

Q. There some new stuff floating around on the Internet about a Kenyan official verifying that Obama was born in Kenya. What do you make of that? (Steph ~ Flagstaff, AZ)
A. I am not a “birther.” But, the two questions that do nag at me are why Obama has spent millions of dollars on lawyers to prevent access to his official birth records if he has nothing to hide, and why did his grandmother insist that he was born in Kenya.  There’s the story out there that his birth was noticed in the Honolulu newspapers, but the notices don’t list the hospital. Obama officials say he was born at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children; others say that the facility was not in existence in 1961. It should be noted that it was known as Kapi‘olani Maternity Home prior to 1978.

Q. What do you think will happen if Israel strikes Iran? (Gordy ~ Williamsburg, VA)

PREPARE FOR RAPIDLY ESCALATING COSTS OF LIVING

Health insurance companies are already sending out notices to their customers that premiums are going to rise, 30-40-50-60% or more. The Bush tax cuts are set to expire. The Administration is talking about adding a 20% value-added national sales tax on everything. Banks, credit card companies, home mortgage interest rates are poised to skyrocket in a sustained period of rate hikes. Inflation has also started to kick in.

COMMENTS:
I have to tell you, I’m afraid. Above and beyond the nearly 10% unemployment, which Geithner is admitting is not going to go down, you and I know there is another 10% of people who are under-employed. Over 1 million new people became homeless over the last 18 months. And we have a President and a Congress who seem intent on making the problem worse with more spending, more national debt, and the inevitable increase in unemployment to somewhere between 12% and 18%. You’ve heard the word, “unsustainable.” Let me tell you, the continued direction this President and this Congress are taking… is unsustainable. Considering what they have done to us in their first year in office, what do you think three more years is going to bring?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s your take on the reduction of nuclear weapons? (Red ~ Stockton, CA)
A. Obviously, the U.S. has an abundance of nuclear weapons and I think too much ado is being made about reduction. However, I don’t think a unilateral reduction is in our best interests from a military defense standpoint. There has to be “tit for tat.” (I was going to say “quid pro quo,” but I knew that “tit for tat” would arouse the ire of the thought police.)

Q. Why has Obama so blatantly snubbed Israel? (Saul ~ Beverly Hills, CA)
A. Muslims have historically not gotten along with Jews.  If you had been listening to what he was saying during his election campaign instead of being awe-struck by his eloquent speaking, you would have known this fact going in.  Knowing what we do now about a lot of things Obama has done that we don't like, we would be well-advised to go back and listen and pay closer attention to what he was saying, the lies he was repeating, and the maneuvering he was going through when caught.

Q. Why isn’t Toyota stepping up to its responsibility on all of these car issues? It seems to me that they are doing everything they can to evade their legal obligations to the people who bought their cars. (Morgan ~ Blue Diamond, NV)
A. Maybe they’re planning to run for Congress?

PENSION FUNDS ABOUT TO COLLAPSE

Several major national pension funds are in danger of imminent collapse. Hundreds of funds for state and city employees are in several financial conditions. The problems stem from forced early retirements and guaranteed high benefits, even in the face of drastic economic downturn.

COMMENTS:
First-time unemployment filings are up again. Tax revenues are in the crapper. Federal workers and Members of Congress are getting raises. Everything seems to be just the way Obama wants it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Did I hear something about Obama getting rid of the White House Press Corps? (Carlyle ~ West Point, MS)
A. It was one of those “floaters” that wafts out now and then to see what the public reaction might be if it happened. Obama and crew have been seeking to have total control of the news from the White House for months. The theory proffered is that they have a Website anyway, why do they need to have press conferences? The reality is that some of the questions now coming up in press conferences are starting to be very uncomfortable. If you remember, they overtly tried to exclude Fox News from the Press Corps many months back, but the resulting uproar among Press Corps members themselves caused Obama to do an abrupt about face. History tells us that he who controls the news controls the people, absolutely. If you don’t recognize this as a totalitarian Marxist move, then what is it?

Q. Even with all of the uproar about the Republicans taking back the House and the Senate in November, do you think it will actually happen? (Monte ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. I think they will do everything within their power to prevent it. I look for S.E.I.U. involvement, I look for covert activity from the so-called "disbanded" ACORN, I look for activity from the Black Panthers, I look for use of public funds under Geithner’s control to buy ads, I look for outright media bias against anyone running on a conservative agenda, I anticipate outright intimidation and smear tactics, I look for dirty tricks against the American Tea Party, and more. Thanks to more and more Americans who have had their eyes opened, the radical "progressive" hierarchy is afraid of what is happening. They anticipated the public uproar would die down after the Health Care Bill was passed and it hasn’t. They have come too far on their agenda to let it slip through their fingers now. It’s going to get damned nasty, and we are going to have to stick together and stay the course.

Q. I understand that workers are not retiring at age 65 as much as they used to. Why not? (Allie ~ Van Nuys, CA)
A. Their pensions are at risk. They lost money in investments. Their taxes are going to go up. Their cost for health care is about to skyrocket. What do you expect them to do, lay down and die?

REPUBLICANS FUMBLING THE BALL?

The whole country is ticked off about everything that is going on in Washington. Obama’s approval ratings are plummeting and even 40% of Democrats think the health care bill should be repealed. All eyes are on the Republican Party and there is infighting and disarray at the top. There is even a faction within the party hierarchy floating the opinion that there are enough good things in the Bill that it should not be repealed. Others are still afraid of losing some centrist votes if they take a conservative stance.

COMMENTS:
Here we are, less than one month after the worst piece of legislation in history has been passed, and the news is that some RNC people have left because of their participation in a junket off to a lesbian sex club in Los Angeles, we have no “hands-on” clear leadership at the helm, we have no RNC stated agenda for November elections, we have a chairman who says he’s not leaving no matter what anyone says, and we have six weeks for the party to get its act together before the heat of the primaries and six months before the main event in November.

The Republicans seem to be bound and determined to screw things up…. again. You just have to ask yourself, “Is this deliberate, or are they really that stupid?”

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think about Bart Stupak’s resignation? (Nancy ~ Visalia, CA)
A. Good riddance. I never did like a man who wouldn’t stand by his principles. His 10 friends in the House should do the same. We have a Congress and a White House full of thugs, liars and thieves and the whole country is ready to do something about it.

Q. Are you disillusioned about America? (Brad ~ Cupertino, CA)
A. Not anymore. Americans are ready to stand up for their country. I’ve said many times we need to stand together, shoulder to shoulder and elbow to elbow to take back our country. Well, the crowd is growing and we can actually for the first time see fear in the eyes of the enemy.

Q. Supreme Court Justice Stevens is retiring. How will that affect the makeup of the court? (Samantha ~ Elk Grove, IL)
A. It won’t, unless Obama appoints a conservative Judge. All jesting aside, Obama knows that he’s going to get strong resistance in the Senate against a far-left appointment and that he will get even more resistance after November when the Senate is likely to have 10-12 more Republicans in it. My educated guess is that he will pick Hillary Clinton as the path of least resistance. Please pass the Gray Poop-On.

ADMINISTRATION PLANS 20% NATIONAL SALES TAX?

The White House is “considering” adding a 20% nationwide value-added sales tax to go on top of increasing income taxes and state taxes according to reliable sources. This would mean that a $500 I-Pod would increase to $600 in cost. A $20,000 car would increase to $24,000. The taxes are necessary to cover increasing costs, such as the new Health Care Plan, Cap & Trade and other programs, according to Paul Volcker, a chief economic advisor to President Obama.

COMMENTS:
This will be the total end to our economy and will destroy any chance of a decrease in unemployment. It will definitely be the straw that breaks the camel’s back as far as our way of life is concerned. I might add that a few people looked at me like I was crazy when I insisted that we could not afford the Health Care Plan. Well, what will they think when the $200 in groceries they buy now costs $240 when their hours have been cut to 20 hours a week and a gallon of gas costs $6.00? Don’t get your blood pressure up. Stay healthy; my taxes depend on your health.

TODAY’S QUERIES &ANSWERS:
Q. One of the most informative people on T.V. these days in Glenn Beck. I keep hearing where Obama and his cronies are trying to get Beck forced off the air, even though he’s number one rated. But, I don’t hear any reasons why they want him off. (Aaron ~ Salem, OR)
A. You won’t, but it’s for the same reason they want Rush Limbaugh off the air, Laura Ingraham off the air, Fox News off the air, me and dozens of others off the Internet, and everyone else who has called it like it is turning out to be…silenced. And, I don’t mean temporarily, either.

Q. What’s your opinion about these threats on the lives of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Representative Patty Murray of Washington State? (Chaz ~ Lakeport, CA)
A. Given the state of the economy, the number of people who are out of work and have been out of work for a long time, and the dirty, corrupt and underhanded tricks employed to pass a health care bill that almost 70% if the country did not want, the citizens are very, very angry. That does not excuse the threats, but it does serve to explain them. All I can say is that we Americans need to unite and end this totally irresponsible and oppressive government currently in power, and we must be steadfast in that purpose.

Q. When are they going to quit blaming Bush? (Vickie ~ Randolph, VT)
A. Not until they have rounded up every last Republican and conservative in the country, lined them up against a wall and pulled the trigger. Thank God, none of them believes in guns.

FORT BRAGG JUSTICE?

Fort Bragg is more than a picturesque community along the northern California shores of the Pacific. Aaron Vargas had been molested as a child by his next door neighbor and had evidently been shattered by the experience over the years. He went to Darrell McNeil’s house and shot him dead. After being arrested and charged with murder, several locals came forward and said McNeil had molested them as well. A groundswell of support erupted for Vargas, who has struck a plea deal to plead guilty to manslaughter.

COMMENTS:
I don’t believe in murder, but I sure am tempted to say Vargas should be let go. He would have been better off to castrate the bastard and nail McNeil’s genitals to his front door.

TODAY’S QUERIES &ANSWERS:
Q. So Afghanistan’s President Karzai says he might join the Taliban? What do you think? (Marjo ~ Fort Bragg, CA)
A. His brother is heavy into poppy growing and the U.S. is trying to eradicate the opium traffic and corruption in the government. I say he should hop on his camel and go.

Q. Aren't there any sanctions that will make Iran back off its nuclear program? (Wally ~ Santa Clara, CA)
A. No.

Q. Iraq is asking the U.S. not to withdraw due to the fragile security there. Will we stay? (Giles ~ Paradise, CA)
A. No. Obama may eat steak and caviar, but he will never eat crow. Besides, where are we going to get the money?
