TRUMP STEPS UP TO THE PLATE… BIG TIME

President Donald Trump personally awarded a Purple Heart during a special trip at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland Saturday to Army Sgt. 1st Class Alvaro Barrientos, who lost part of his leg in Afghanistan.

COMMENTS:

When was the last time a sitting president personally went out of his way to present an honor like that to a member of the military, Barack?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. Now that North Korea’s resident runt has threatened to sink a U.S. aircraft carrier, what do you think his next move will be?  (Curtis ~ Sepulveda, CA)
A. He’s got the U.S. and Japanese Navies sitting just offshore.  He’s got the Chinese military right on the border and on full alert.  He’s got U.S. and South Korean forces on pins and needles, ready to strike.  He’s surrounded himself on all sides with his perceived “enemies” There’s more firepower aimed at him right now than has been assembled in one spot since World War II.  If he so much as farts, he’s likely to be blown to smithereens.  But, I don’t think he’s going to back down; the nutcase will lose face if he does, and that puts the whole world in an ominous position.

Q. I’m totally against the death penalty; the guy in Arkansas should not have been executed.  (Naomi ~ San Francisco, CA)
A. Ledell Lee, the guy in Arkansas, went to his neighbor’s house and beat a woman to death by striking her with a tire iron 36 or more times; an hour later, he was spending the $300 he stole from her.  She obviously died a horrible death… much more horrible than his, in a sterile room under anesthetics.   And I would suppose that you, a bastion of political conscience and correctness, are also in favor of aborting live fetuses and selling their body parts?

Q. Corruption in Washington is rampant and has been for too many years.  How can we rout it out?  (Boris ~ Tremonton, UT)
A. One good step would be to vote out anyone who has been there for over 6 years.  Another would be to remove all barriers to transparency so that corruption becomes more visible to everyone; then, we can start sending the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats to Gitmo, because they are in many ways terrorists of a different sort.
