"Every Democrat, like every American, should support a
woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health," DNC Chairman
Tom Perez pronounced last week, as he demanded all Democrat candidates support
abortion in order to receive support from the DNC.
COMMENTS:
Let me say one clear thing: Nobody, no Democrat, no
Plutocrat, no liberal left-wing extremist, no Congressman, no Senator, no
neighbor… nobody has the right to tell me, an American citizen, how to act,
think or feel… period. And I don’t give a damned what they think of
me for saying it. Maybe the Democrats of
this country are all gung-ho for their new party line, but this American is not.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I don’t get it. On
the one hand, Trump approves the Keystone Pipeline to bring Canadian oil to the
United States and on the other, he slaps a 20% import tax on Canadian lumber
coming into the country. What
gives? (Maria ~ Galveston, TX)
A. The pipeline will bring temporary jobs and more energy resources
into the United States. Canadian lumber
is cheaper than American lumber and therefore costs American jobs; the American
lumber industry has been severely downsized.
By keeping Canadian costs in line with U.S. costs, Trump hopes to get
the American lumber industry cooking again, knock on wood.
Q. Why is Trump backing down to the Democrats over the
budget crisis and letting up on his push to build the border wall? (Taffy ~ Bismarck, ND)
A. He’s not caving in.
As Ted Cruz has suggested, why not grab some of the $14 billion in drug
money seized from El Chapo for use in building the wall?
Q. What do you think about the Federal Judge who has issued
an order preventing Trump from withholding Federal funds from sanctuary
cities? (Bigfoot ~ Klamath Falls, OR)
A. I write a lot of grant applications. The universally condition or term of acceptance
of a Federal Award is that you and your organization agree to abide by and enforce
the laws of the United States. This
activist Federal Judge should be impeached for not following the laws, but what
else do you expect from a Federal Judge who holds Court in San Francisco?
TODAY’S QUOTE:
“A judge can’t have any preferred
outcome in any particular case. The
judge’s only obligation, and it’s a solemn obligation, is to the rule of law.”
~ Justice Samuel Alito
