Anger is mounting over the new anti-gun policy
adopted by Rotary International (RI). Those who prize America’s Second Amendment
right to keep and bear arms, or who simply appreciate the many benefits of
owning firearms, are no longer welcomed within the group’s ranks. The new policy bans any Rotary entity from
selling, raffling, or transferring firearms. It also bans these entities from
participating in activities where any sort of firearm raffle or other transfer
occurs, whether or not Rotary is the owner of the items. Rotary entities are
also prohibited from sponsoring or conducting gun shows or other exhibitions
involving guns. The new policy also bans Rotary entities from accepting
sponsorship from any organization or business engaged in the sale or
manufacturer of guns, weapons or other armaments.
COMMENTS:
This subject appeared in my March 2, 2017 post. The club has since gone further in clarifying
its new rules which are effective July 1.
As in many areas of the country, up here around Mount Burney just about
everybody owns guns, goes hunting, or hangs out at the local rifle and pistol
club. Rotary International has just
insulted every one of them, all good down-to-earth people. The local clubs are likely to dry up and blow
away. May the fleas of a million radical
Islamic terrorists infest the armpits of the idiots in charge.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Kim Jong-un says that when McCain called him a “crazy fat
kid” that constituted an act of war. You
don’t actually think that would be enough to set Kim Jong-un off do you? (Chico ~ El Centro, CA)
A. Absolutely. He’s a
maniac, he’s vastly overweight and he’s immature. He is the epitome of evil and has
uncontrollable rage. He’d make an ideal
Democrat… if you don’t do exactly what he wants, you’re dead.
Q. There seems to be recent evidence that Obama’s surveillance
of Trump started long before he became the presidential nominee. That being the case, do you supposed Obama
also surveilled other candidates? (Bill
~ Tucson, AZ)
A. I would be surprised if he didn’t. Obama and Clinton were in a strong partnership
to ensure that Clinton won. I think it
goes back to a “deal” made when Clinton dropped out in 2008 and let Obama
win. I think they both wanted to
discover and exploit any and all weaknesses existing on any opponent. In fact, they were so busy trying to hack
into Trump and others that they left the barn door open and let themselves get
hacked.
Q. Why are the Democrats so obsessed with scuttling
Gorsuch? Gorsuch has a stellar
record. (Blondie ~ Somerville, MA)
A. It’s all about the balance on the Supreme Court. They want it tilted to the left and they
definitely don’t want a constitutionalist on the bench. Worst case scenario is that it stays with
eight members and therefore lower court decisions stand because the Supreme
Court will usually tie. The Democrats
see the issue as a “do or die” matter; if a conservative gets on the bench,
everything they have done to overthrow the government goes down the tubes and
they’ll be left with a whole bunch of sauerkraut without any frankfurters.
