The White House is insisting that Congress vote this week to
give approval to the Administration to arm Syrian rebels to go after I.S.I.S.
and also to stipulate that no American boots will be on the ground. “If it’s not the Syrian opposition, trained
and equipped by the United States, authorized by Congress and the president …
then it’ll have to be U.S. troops,” White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough
told “Fox News Sunday.” “The president made a decision on that. We’re not going
to do that.”
COMMENTS:
Okay, let’s keep things nice and sanitary and politically
correct. What we’re admitting to the
world and buying into is the premise that I.S.I.S. is not that important to
us. We don’t really care if they are contained,
defeated or left to spread their poisonous hatred and brutality around the
world, including here on the homeland. If
that’s truly how this President sizes up his duty to preserve and protect our
government and country, then we need to save our money and bullets and stay
home and wait for them to come here. If
we’re not willing to commit every asset we have including troops on the ground
to eradicate I.S.I.S., then why kid ourselves?
Let's save the jet fuel so we can use it to get out of the country when they come here to get us.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. There hasn’t been a lot of news about Obama’s phony birth
certificate in recent months. Is that
issue over and done with? (Ida ~ Sedona,
AZ)
A. Not really; it’s just not in the headlines. Sheriff Joe Arpaio is reportedly close to putting
the finger on the person who forged the long-form certificate that was
provided. In the meantime, one enterprising
investigative journalist conjectured that having Obama’s passport records would
indicate where she was on his birth date and he filed a FOIA request with the
State Department, which forwarded him her travel records 1965 and later, saying
that prior records were “missing.” Perhaps they are with the missing Lerner
emails. Every record or avenue of determining where
Obama was actually born seems to have been mysteriously closed; we can therefore
legitimately conclude that he does not, in fact, exist.
Q. Now there’s more bad news about physical abuse among NFL
players, including children. You said at
one point that the NFL should stay out of the issue because it belongs in the
courts. Dr. Ben Carson has come out saying we shouldn’t be frying these guys in
the media. What’s your opinion now? (Robin ~ Los Angeles, CA)
A. Most of the NFL players come from tough backgrounds and
therefore suffer from the “Mike Tyson Complex.”
Now you put them in the role of tough competition and what we are
getting is a likely outcome. That
doesn’t make it right or excusable, but rather than jump up and down about it,
we need to address the reasons that these acts manifest themselves. I still
wonder why the NFL should be involved in what happens with players while not on
the field. Do you want your boss to fire
you for an off-duty wrongdoing before you even have a court date?
Q. As it turns out, Bush was correct in predicting things
that would happen if we laid down our arms in Iraq and Afghanistan
prematurely. What is your opinion of his
Presidency now? (Pat ~ Fresno, CA)
A. Average. His war
against terror strategy was above average, but not brilliant. His handling of the economy was
substandard. Overall, I would rate him
as average, or 5-6 on a scale of 10 whereas Obama rates a minus 1.
TODAY’S QUOTE:
“It would be very important for the Democrats to retain
control of the Senate. Civilization as
we know it today would be in jeopardy if the Republicans win the Senate.” ~ Nancy
Pelosi (Well, I don’t know that I like American civilization as
it exists today).
