SYRIAN REFUGEES TO COME TO U.S.?

Obama is considering bringing thousands of Syrians who have escaped Syria to the United States.  The U.N. is requesting they be relocated in California, Illinois, Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.

COMMENTS:

Whatever the U.N. wants, the U.N. gets.  No one has the slightest idea as to how they will ferret out the Al Qaeda members.  Which reminds me; since the war on terrorism is over, why do they need that multi-billion dollar data gathering complex in Utah anyway?  They are starting to get caught in the webs of their own lies.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. How serious do you think this sex cover-up scandal within the State Department is?  Could this be a nail in Hillary’s political coffin?  (Amir ~ Northridge, CA)
A. That all depends on what your definition of “is” is.  I can’t possibly answer the question any more succinctly than that.

Q. What do you think is going to happen to Edward Snowden?  (Mila ~ Cody, WY)
A. I shudder to think.  The Chinese may want to talk with him and pry some secrets loose, as might the Russians.  Our C.I.A. may want to “off” him; he could very well disappear, never to be heard from again.  If he is still free, he’d better not stay in any one location for very long.  It’s an outrage that, were it not for him, we’d never know to what extent our government has been spying on us.  Did you know that a computer with a microphone in it can be used to remotely “bug” your conversations via the Internet?

Q. How serious is this Turkish uprising?  (Allie ~ Portland, OR)
A. Damned serious.  Al Qaeda and radical Islamic groups have been trying to force us out of the Middle East altogether; Turkey and Israel are our two remaining allies in that region.  If we lose Turkey, where we have military personnel and equipment stationed, the rubber is really likely to meet the road.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

“When the people no longer trust their government, there is a breeding ground for revolution.  Yet, it may well be that the government is not at fault, but the people who manage it are.  In order to prevent revolution, you must remove from government those who distort its rules to suit their own agendas.”  ~ The Unknown Scribbler
