The Obama Administration through the State Department Thursday announced that it is stopping plans to build a pipeline from Canada to the southern states until it can study alternative routes. This will delay construction for at least a year and keep 20,000 jobs at bay. "We should take the time to ensure that all questions are properly addressed and all the potential impacts are properly understood," Obama said as he caved in to environmentalists.
COMMENTS:
There are pipelines running all over the U.S. If I recall correctly, one natural gas line
burst in southern California about two years ago creating millions of dollars
in damage. But, that was the only such
catastrophe I can remember happening, and I’ve been around since the George
Washington days. This is just one more
example of Obama’s inability to make the tough decisions that would be in the
best interests of the country. He’s a
procrastinator and a vacilator, two characteristics we really don’t need in
the White House.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What are they going to do about the “Occupy”
protesters? (Harley ~ Quincy, CA)
A. If it was up to me, they’d already be in jail. What started as a bunch of disenchanted
people like Tea Party Members has morphed into union thugs, drug dealers and
street scum. What will actually happen,
however, is probably nothing. Maybe
they’ll be joined by the rest of the Democratic Party.
Q. What is your opinion of the Joe Paterno firing? (Gary ~ Denver, CO)
A. I think it was overkill in the beginning. What should have happened is a suspension
pending investigation of the facts. We
still don’t know what Paterno was told and what he told Penn State officials. Sandusky should be in jail forever, as far as
I am concerned and McQueary should also be suspended pending investigation,
which is what “administrative leave” usually means. This is a fair way to investigate and get the
facts before you act. What we have
learned now is that the former District Attorney who investigated the original
claim back in 1998 disappeared under suspicious circumstances and has never been
seen since. This is beginning to smell
like a really dead fish.
Q. If Romney ends up being the nominee against Obama, will
you vote for him? (Artesia ~ Richmond,
CA)
A. That depends on whether or not a third party is formed
and who the candidate might be.
