A GEORGIA UNIVERSITY GOES OPENLY ANTI-GAY

Shorter University, a private Christian university in Rome, GA, is forcing its 200 employees to sign a "personal lifestyle statement" rejecting pre-marital sex, adultery and homosexuality or risk getting fired.  The university has suggested that students who disagree with the policy should seek education elsewhere.

COMMENTS:
It’s a private university, Christian-based, and if it is not receiving federal funds then I support its rights to set its standards.  If it was a government-funded school, I would feel otherwise.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think the Border Patrol Agent who allegedly mistreated a drug dealer he was arrested should have received two years in prison?  (Doris ~ Anderson, CA)
A. Absolutely yes.  The drug dealer was a Mexican.  The Obama Administration does not want anyone messing around with illegal Mexicans.  I’m surprised the agent didn’t get ten years.

Q. In that New Hampshire speech by Rick Perry the other night, do you think he was drunk?  (Barney ~ Ruidoso, NM)
A. Nawh.  Everyone knows that Texans don’t drink.

Q. Why is it that every time the country gets in big trouble, Obama leaves the country?  We have an economy in shambles, people looking for jobs, a debt out of control and a Congressional Committee about to fail.  So, why did he head for Europe?  (Marilyn ~ Bakersfield, CA)
A. You ask the wrong question, my dear.  The real question should be: Why does he come back?
