SENATE REFUSES TO LIMIT MALPRACTICE AWARDS

In a rare Sunday session generally reserved for emergency legislation, The United States Senate responded to President Obama’s appearance on the Hill by voting down a proposed amendment to the Government-Run Health Care Bill that would have placed limits on malpractice awards. Malpractice awards are a major bone of contention among Republicans and independents who feel that health costs cannot be contained until malpractice insurance costs can be controlled.

COMMENTS:
This is an outright slap in the face to millions of Americans and an “Up yours” from every Senator who voted against the proposed amendment. Are you getting angry enough to get off of your couch and do something about this American tragedy yet?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. If you had your choice, what would you send Obama for Christmas?
(Elsie – Miami, FL)
A. A lump of coal.

Q. Has General Petraeus reacted to the President’s 30,000 additional troops with a deadline for pulling them out?
(Garth – Bainbridge, WA)
A. In a Fox News interview yesterday, Petraeus said that he can live with it and it makes sense to him. Finally, we’ve found someone on the face of the Earth who says they can understand Obama.

Q. What significance does Pearl Harbor Day have for you?
(Mandi – Napa, CA)
A. It was an overt attempt by Japan to bring the U.S. to its knees. They destroyed and sunk ships and left Pearl Harbor defenseless. Now, the Congress is doing the same thing to us with the Health Care Plan; they are destroying and sinking our economy and turning us into a Marxist country.
