There is no current health care bill, either as passed by the House or being considered by the Senate, that reduces our costs; they all increase our costs, some more than others. They will increase both our insurance premiums and our taxes. Neither provision provides for capping malpractice awards or prescription costs, so both plans will continue to add costs to us in the future. Regardless of increased costs, neither plan covers all Americans; as many as 25-30 million people will remain not covered. Well will be forced to pay the higher taxes for 4-5 years before the new plans kick into effect.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I don’t know that there is enough science yet to prove or disprove the global warming theory. But Obama, Gore and others are so assertive, I just feel like we’re getting rushed into things again. What do you think? (Milo – Elko, NV)
A. They’re all full of hot air.
Q. What is your opinion of the Omnibus Bill? (Gretchen – Scottsdale, AZ)
A. The only problem I have with it is it includes so damned much pork. When you are down and out in family finances, how often do you take the kids out to a professional ball game? Some of the things they are spending money on don’t even make sense when you have black ink on your bottom line, let alone when you are in a sea of red ink.
Q. I understand they are about to legalize male prostitution in Nevada. (Jean – Phoenix, AZ)
A. There is one brothel applying for a license and the subject is going to be heard in the legislature. There is some opposition, but if those guys can keep it up, it will probably pass.
