THREE-PARENT BABIES

Great Britain has approved “three-parent baby” fertility treatments after regulators gave the green light.  The first baby conceived using mitochondrial donation was born earlier this year in Mexico, where there are no rules on its use, but Britain is the first to officially authorize it.

COMMENTS:
In this case, eggs from two females are united with sperm from one male.  So, do I presume the male donor could be legally responsible for double child support?  Will the fetus have four arms, four legs and two heads?  How do they sort out which female will carry the fertilized egg?  What if the three split up; who gets parental rights?  I’ll bet a world full of attorneys are licking their chops right now.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think the House Intelligence Committee will do now that intelligence agencies have refused to make an appearance? (Brittany ~ Geneva, WI)
A. Nothing, just like they’ve been doing for the last eight years. They should go sit on something.

Q. How do you feel about a mandatory ten-day waiting period for gun purchases, like they have in California?  (Laurence ~ Salt Lake City, UT)
A. I think it’s fine unless the buyer has already taken the required gun safety course and previously purchased a gun.  The purpose is to prevent impulse killings, but if you already have a gun, what’s the point?

Q. Now that Jill Stein’s recount agenda has been terminated, I understand that in the process it was discovered 37 Michigan precincts had more total votes than they had ballots?  (Carlton ~ Spokane, WA)
A. Yes, and have you noticed that the mainstream media is not covering or investigating it?  Gosh I wonder why not.
