V.A. MISMANAGEMENT CONTINUES

A revisit to the embattled Veterans Administration reveals that mismanagement continues to permeate the ranks.  Congress is now looking at construction projects currently underway, including an Aurora, Colorado facility that will cover 1 million square feet and serve over 83,000 veterans.  The project is so far over budget that it had to be shut down in the middle of construction; at last report, the Army Corps of Engineers has been called in to finish the complex.

COMMENTS:
And the new program to allow vets to see private, local physicians has run into countless problems.  I don’t suppose anyone has given any thought to letting veterans run the V.A.?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why did they take Iran off the terrorist list?  (Norma ~ Denver, CO)
A. Because they repented.  And, they’re misunderstood.  And, they’re really nice guys.  And Obama needs to set the scene so Americans don't get angry when he signs a deal allowing Iran to have nukes.

Q. Do you think Ted Cruz has a chance of winning the Republican nomination? (Gary ~ Anderson, CA)
A. No.  He will be torpedoed by the hierarchy of the Republican Party, which wishes to anoint Jeb Bush.

Q. Why is the price of eggs going sky high in California?  (Myrtle ~ San Ramon, CA)
A. A new state law requires larger coops for chickens, which means fewer chickens per square foot or that they have to buy more land and build more coops.  The chickens were complaining they didn’t have enough room to conduct cock fights.
