Q. It looks as if the driving force behind Mitt Romney for
Secretary of State is Paul Ryan. How do you
feel about that? (Celeste ~ Lawrence,
KS)
A. I do not see any political, social, or human value in
either Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney. I would
prefer to have Mr. Potato Head as Speaker of the House and a Kootie as Secretary
of State.
Q. Do you really think Biden will run for president in
2020? (Ed ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. I think that the Democrats will not run anybody for
president in 2020, because Trump is going to have the nation in the palm of his
hand by that time. He’s already making great strides in that direction. Besides, the Democrats need to get Chelsea in position for a 2024 run.
Q. The Pentagon says it hid the report on $125 billion of
wasteful spending because they need to assure that the funds would be available
to them next year. What are your
thoughts? (Kammy ~ Lynnwood, WA)
A. Normally, I would blame them. Had the waste been discovered and their 2017-18
budget been cut, they would be in deep trouble, largely because past budget cuts
under the Obama administration have now taken a huge toll on our military
readiness. I believe they kept the waste
report under wraps because they suspected Clinton would win the presidency and
things would continue to get worse.
