Just before the Easter weekend, President Barack Hussein Obama announced that he is delaying any decision on the Keystone Pipeline and is extending “indefinitely” a key review period. Republicans, as well as red-state Democrats who want the proposed Canada-to-Texas pipeline approved, slammed Obama for the delay and even threatened to find ways to go around the president to get the project approved.
COMMENTS:
The United States needs this energy. Several lengthy studies, including the Department
of State and the E.P.A. have concluded that the pipeline should be approved. Our President has once again taken the
chicken’s way out, only this time it wasn’t by jumping on Air Force One and
heading for a “Vegas campaign speech.”
The fact that this so-called President will not act like one is a despicable
abrogation of the duty of his office. I challenge him to have the guts to make a decision,
one way or the other, before the Easter Bunny eats his lunch.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think they’ve really signed up 8 million people
for ObamaCare? (Jeremy ~ Denver, CO)
A. If that figure is correct, it will be the very first
correct figure put out by the Obama Administration. ObamaCare has already
earned a justifiable reputation as being the most tragic act ever perpetrated
by a President against the American public in history.
Q. Peter King can sometimes hit the correct nail on the head
and at other times he is totally off base.
The WASHINGTON POST and GUARDIAN US just received two of journalism’s
top awards for reporting on the Edward Snowden spying information, and King is
all over them like glue. Do you think
Snowden is a criminal who should be tried for treason? (Eduardo ~ Murray, UT)
A. Sometimes true American patriots come to the plate and
risk everything in order to warn the populace about government wrongdoings. Yes, I suppose what he did was in the
technical sense illegal; had he not done so, we Americans would be left in the
dark, unaware of the fact that our government has been actively violating the
law itself via illegal surveillance against American citizens. King’s statements show either his ignorance
or his true agenda. Snowden deserves exoneration.
Q. You are confusing me.
In one post you indicate that rancher Cliven Bundy’s cows were being slaughtered;
in another post, you indicate they were released. What’s true?
(Dick ~ St. George, UT)
A. Some cattle, including at least two bulls, were
slaughtered and buried in a pit. The
rest were released after the BLM decided to end the standoff. Now let me day this: Even if some Court
directed the BLM to seize the cattle, or gave direct approval for such seizure,
where is the order to render them or kill them?
That’s not logical; if any Court gave the authority or direction to BLM
to seize the cattle, the order would be to hold them for a certain period of
time during which Bundy could “bail” them out, or to sell them and apply the
proceeds to Bundy’s “debt.” The butchering action
by the BLM was above and beyond the law and the BLM needs to be held
accountable for its actions. This is not the bad-guy Bundy story the liberals
in charge would have you believe.
