Voting machines in Cook County Illinois have been caught changing votes for Republican candidates to votes for Democratic candidates. Republican state representative candidate Jim Moynihan went to vote Monday at the Schaumburg Public Library. “I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent,” Moynihan said. “You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.”
COMMENTS:
Oh my. It was a “calibration
error” with the computers. It’s nothing
to worry about and there’s absolutely no truth to the rumor that Lois Lerner
set the voting machines up, either.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think we’ll find in the Fast and Furious
documents that they have finally been ordered to release? (Benny ~ West Palm Beach, FL)
A. Nothing right now; it’s the LIST of documents that is
being withheld that the court ordered released to Judicial Watch. You can bet your sweet potatoes that the
damaging documents themselves have been destroyed or modified. And I suspect that a whole bunch of emails
have been lost due to “Lerneritis,” the mysterious crashing of hard drives.
Q. The White House said there was absolutely nothing to
worry about with the release of illegal Mexican immigrants from prisons across
the country. They insisted no dangerous
criminals were released, but now we’re learning that was an outright lie? (Xenia ~ Lancaster, PA)
A. USA TODAY, gaining the data from U.S.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) through the Freedom of information
Act, reports that some of the released illegal immigrants had been charged with
kidnapping, sexual assault, drug trafficking, and homicide. I guess the Administration considers those
crimes to be below the misdemeanor classification; I wonder what sort of crime
they consider to be a felony? Oh, I
know: writing a blog about their insidious malfeasance and misfeasance.
Q. There is so much Doomsday talk these days… Ebola,
I.S.I.S., drug cartels, illegal immigration… how did we get into this mess? (Chelsea
~ Daly City, CA)
A. By not doing our jobs as citizens and paying attention to
what has been going on in Washington, and then allowing ourselves to be lulled
into a false sense of security by smooth-talking used car salesmen promising “change.”
