FORMER OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS ON JOURNALISTIC HOT SEAT

Leon Panetta and other former Obamacrats are coming under fire by various media, print and blogging journalists for ratting on President Obama.  It seems there is an unwritten rule that you do not speak out against a President you are working for or have worked for until he gets out of office.

COMMENTS:
As a general rule, I agree with that philosophy.  However, when there is misfeasance or malfeasance involved, or where we are talking about serious issues of national security, I disagree.  I do remember the day as a young boy when you might disagree with the politics of the President but, you always got behind him and supported him after he took the oath of office.  I would have to say, however, those were the days of Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower and even Kennedy.  I would have to say that the lies and spins of Lyndon Johnson started the ending of that.  Presidents in those days were predominantly American patriots regardless of their politics; these days, the reverse is true.  So, would you blindly follow Obama and let him do whatever he wants?  If so, by now we’d all have no guns, converted to Islam and be speaking Kenyan.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. The rumor is that Obama is going to name Janet Napolitano as the next Attorney General.  She did such a poor job at the Department of Homeland Security; do you think it’s possible?  (David ~ Hollister, CA)
A. Obama doesn’t especially care what kind of a job you do, good or bad; what he does expect is that his selections will lie, cheat and spin as needed to protect him from criticism.  So, I think there is a better-than-even chance that she will get the job, but not until after the mid-term elections.  He doesn’t want to anger Joe the Plumber.

Q. How do you feel about the direction to start screening arrivals for fever at five U.S. airports?  (Lew ~ Logan, UT)
A. Well, that’s certainly a step in the right direction.  Obviously, the fact that the Administration’s constant barrage of insistence there is nothing to worry about has not moved the polls in a positive direction.  Why not SFO, LAS and Sea-Tac?  Oh, I know: people who live in the western United States predominantly vote Republican.

Q. Why is Turkey so reluctant to commit to fighting I.S.I.S.?  (Blake ~ Lakeview, OR)
A. Turkey dislikes the Kurds; I.S.I.S. is trying to kill off the Kurds.  Turkey would obviously rather have I.S.I.S. invade their country and butcher Turkish citizens as opposed to stopping the killing of Kurds.  That’s actually why those turkey buzzards have a glass of Wild Turkey before they take their Turkish baths …
