North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, who has not been seen in public
for more than 40 days, is said to have given "field guidance" to a
newly built residential district and visited the Natural Energy Institute of
the State Academy of Sciences, state news agency KCNA said early Tuesday. There
has been no explanation for this lengthy absence.
COMMENTS:
Like I said early on, we have not heard the last of Un,
regardless of widespread speculation that he had been deposed, shot, killed and
ground up into hamburger meat. I
suggested he may have been in rehab and now think that may be the correct
answer. Anybody who thinks Dennis Rodman
is a superhero simply must be on drugs.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I’m not happy about the Ebola numbers in the U.S. First, there was the one in Dallas, who
died. We were all told that everything
was under control and we didn’t need to worry.
A second person became infected in Dallas, making two; then one from
Boston. Now, is it not poised to
explode? (Vic ~ Menlo Park, CA)
A. Let’s say it just doubles every week, not 50 or 100 times s some have suggested. We’re looking at 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 96, 192… in
26 weeks, we’ll have 201,326,592 cases. By the middle of the 27th
week, we’ll all have it. Now then, Obama has made a promise that we have nothing to worry
about. So, dismiss it from your mind; when he makes
a promise, as we all know, it’s iron-clad.
He’s so cool. Anyone for a
Benghazi Steak sandwich?
Q. Is it true that a lot of Democrats are distancing
themselves from Nancy Pelosi? (Wesley ~
Toole, UT)
A. Some are even mentioning her by name, that they don’t
vote with her and voted against he for House Speaker. Poor Nancy; she’s likely to give birth to a
cow.
Q. I’ve heard conflicting reports. How is our air attack strategy working
against I.S.I.S.? (Twyla ~ Sequim, WA)
A. That depends on who you ask. As most of us who are familiar with the Obama
Administration know, its record for achievement is lack luster at best. The "allied forces lost a major Iraq city to I.S.I.S.
yesterday and as of this writing were struggling to keep I.S.I.S. from taking
the Baghdad airport, key to our air capabilities. Since the effort is actually going badly,
Obama did his typical “get out of town” routine and headed for California to
flap off at the gums, raise money and play golf.
