ANCIENT FOOTSTEPS

Archaeologists announced Friday that they have discovered human footprints in England which are between 800,000 and 1 million years old — the most ancient found outside Africa and the earliest evidence of human life in northern Europe. A team from the British Museum, London's Natural History Museum and Queen Mary College at the University of London uncovered imprints from up to five individuals in ancient estuary mud at Happisburgh on the country's eastern coast.
COMMENTS:

So they found Phyllis Diller’s Obama’s footprints in England?  Big deal; why can’t we find out where Obama was born?
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. What is your position on getting rid of coal as an energy source in this country?  (Bill ~ Scranton, PA)
A. The theory is that we will reduce carbon emissions and the greenhouse effect, but that’s fallacious; if we reduce or eliminate the use of coal in this country, the miners/producers will simply ship their coal to other countries, so emissions around the globe don’t get reduced one iota.  I believe the coal industry and the users of coal are willing to comply with reasonable emission limits; we certainly have the capabilities to do that.  So, why don’t we keep production here with miners employed and have a say-so in the overall emissions where we can have a positive impact on global pollution?  We need to keep what jobs we have right here in the U.S.
Q. Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor came out and said that calling illegal immigrants “criminals” is insulting.  Do you agree?  (Myrna ~ Chester, CA)
A. Could it be that if she takes an illegal bribe to sway a Court decision, she doesn’t want to be called a criminal? Come on, if you do something illegal, such as crossing our border against the law, you have committed a crime.  Those who have committed a crime are called “criminals.”  Somebody please send her some Ex-Lax; I sent all of mine to Nancy Pelosi.
Q. What do you think about Sandra Fluke running for Congress?  (Bitsy ~ Oklahoma City, OK)
A. She’s considering running for Henry Waxman’s seat, so you’d have a left-wing loon running to fill the seat of a left-wing loon.  She’s the gal who believes you and I should pay for her contraceptives and, therefore, her f----ing around.  At least she’s up front with her agenda.  I, on the other hand, think the government should pay for my dog to be neutered.
TODAY’S QUOTE:
Here in the United States, we have between 250 and 300 years of a coal supply. That is more than the amount of recoverable oil contained in the entire world.” ~ Tim Holden
