COURT ORDERS SEX CHANGE FOR CONVICTED MURDERER

A federal judge last week ordered California’s corrections department to provide a transgender inmate with sex change surgery; Jeffrey Bryan Norsworthy, convicted of murder and now known as Michelle-Lael Norsworthy, will receive the $100,000-plus surgery at taxpayer expense because… U.S. District Court Judge Jon Tigar in San Francisco ruled that denying sex reassignment surgery to him/her violates his/her constitutional rights.

COMMENTS:
And what about MY constitutional rights against unjust taxes?  What about the victim’s constitutional rights to life?  Where in hell does it say that convicts of capital crimes even have any constitutional rights?  Do dogs or cats have constitutional rights?  Don’t I have any rights as a conscientious objector? I suppose now he/she can marry himself/herself and the prison baker will have to provide a transgender wedding cake?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Is it true that ABC has refused to air an anti-Rahm Emanuel ad?  (Cookie ~ Liberal, KS)
A. Yes, although other stations and networks are running the ad, according to THE DAILY CALLER. Every time I see an article like this, I am reminded that what was once a trusted and revered American journalistic institution has prostituted itself into becoming a propaganda machine for political power.  When it comes to the press and media, believe not, trust not and verify.

Q. How do you feel about the Kansas move to allow concealed carry of guns without a permit?  (Georgette ~ Boise, ID)
A. I believe that the ability to legally carry a concealed weapon should basically be unfettered.  However, I also believe that no one should be carrying a gun concealed or not if they do not know how to use it and if they do not have a basic understanding of the legal ramifications of its use.  For that reason, and that reason only, I favor the requirement for a permit, which should be mandatory for issue if the applicant has taken and passed a written course and has demonstrated he/she knows how to shoot responsibly.  And the cost for the permit should be nominal. I can say without hesitation that I have seen novices pick up handguns and point them everywhere except downrange without even bothering to determine whether or not they were loaded.  That, my friend, is scary.

Q. The Pope prays that the Iranian nuclear deal will be an opening for peace.  What do you think the chances are that Iran will abide by the agreement?  (Kirsten ~ Malibu, CA)
A. According to history, slim and none.  For example, the current agreement calls for regular inspections by the IAEA; Iran chased those inspectors out of the country months ago, as they have on more than one occasion.  The new agreement calls for regular inspections by the IAEA, including unannounced “spot” inspections.  In my opinion, we should move tanks, missiles, bombers and troops to the borders of Iran… and then negotiate.

TODAY’S QUOTE:
“Overwhelmingly, Israel’s political and military establishment wants the rest of the world to act diplomatically or otherwise to stop Iran.  But, if that doesn’t happen, then the impulse toward the use of force will become quite strong.”  ~ Dennis Ross
