NFL GIVES UP TAX FREE STATUS

The National Football League has decided to drop its tax exempt status and start paying taxes.

COMMENTS:
Barack Obama is reaching for his charge card.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Should Baltimore’s mayor resign?  (Phyllis ~ Lakeport, CA)
A. No.  She’s the epitome of Democratic idiocracy and should remain as an example to the rest of us as to why there are asylums for lunatics.

Q. Hillary says the justice system needs a huge overhaul and we need to end “mass incarcerations.”  I know we have far too many people in prisons, but how do we go about changing that?  (Bill ~ Truckee, CA)
A. I think she’s saying that because she’s afraid of going to jail.  If we’re going to reduce our prison population, we have to change society.  We need to get back to some fundamental moral and ethical beliefs and we need to rebuild the family structure.  We need to find the moral high ground and stick to it through thick and thin.  You will notice, by the way, that she did not discuss the Clinton Foundation in her speech…

Q. The Inspector General at the Department of the Treasury says he has uncovered thousands of Lois Lerner’s emails.  What do you think they’ll find?  (Miley ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. There about 35,000 emails recovered.  Good God… how can one person write that many emails?  I think Lois is probably busy booking a one-way flight out of the country, and I think Obama is dancing the White House Scramble.

CLINTON DONORS CONTACTED STATE DEPARTMENT FOR FAVORS

TOWNHALL.COM is reporting “181 Clinton Foundation donors lobbied the US State Department while Hillary Clinton was in charge, highlighting new questions over whether the Clintons profited from effectively renting out American foreign policy.”  Furthermore, Former President Bill Clinton accepted more than $2.5 million in speaking fees from 13 major corporations and trade associations that lobbied the U.S. State Department while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, an International Business Times investigation has found.

COMMENTS:
Oh, my.  This all stinks soooo much.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Christian religions are banding together, saying they will defy a Supreme Court order if it legalizes gay marriage.  Do you agree, and what do you think will happen?  (Rhonda ~ Lawrence, KS)
A. The signees are a who’s who of religious leaders including former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, National Religious Broadcasters president Jerry Johnson, Pastor John Hagee, and Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse.  I haven’t seen any of the leaders of organized religions yet weigh in…maybe they’re afraid of their own convictions. I, however, stand firmly with the listed individuals.  Since this is an essential state’s rights issue, I don’t see how the Court can legalize same sex marriages on a national level. If anything, they will try to reach a decision that applies to the individual state parties to the lawsuit involved only based on some technicality in the laws they have devised.  Should a more broad interpretation come down, I think there may well be civil disobedience on a massive scale in this country.

Q. What is your response to Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake saying “we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well,” and then denying that she said it?  (Carla ~ Dallas, TX)
A. Maybe she should run for president instead of Hillary.

Q. How do you feel about Iran commandeering a cargo ship from the Marshall Islands while it was sailing in the Strait of Hormuz?  (Miles ~ Lansing, MI
A. Any non-military vessel sailing in that area is taking a big risk, since everything is a tinderbox and war rages.  The U.S. has an obligation to defend ships from the Marshall Islands, but so far has issued only a very mild protest.  I’d say it’s going to be a long, hot summer at the White House... deservedly so.

CLINTON FOUNDATION GOES ONTO “WATCH” LIST

BREITBART.COM reports that the Clinton Foundation has been put on a “watch” list by CHARITY NAVIGATOR, a consumer-oriented charity watchdog group.  This decision wasn’t made because of the Foundation’s remarkably lucrative sideline as a uranium superstore for Russia, but because its finances are opaque and dishonest and because such a tiny amount of the money it rakes in actually goes to charitable endeavors. “The Clinton family’s mega-charity took in more than $140 million in grants and pledges in 2013 but spent just $9 million on direct aid,” notes the New York Post. “The group spent the bulk of its windfall on administration, travel, and salaries and bonuses, with the fattest payouts going to family friends.”

COMMENTS:
Only about 5% of the money it takes in is actually reaching charitable needs.  Another 5% appears to be going to pay for staff, travel, office expenses and… I presume the Clintons got the change.  Gosh… what’ll happen if they are forced into paying it all back?  Well, you can bet your sweet petunias that if Hillary gets to the White House, that’ll never happen.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How do you feel about George W. Bush’s rant on Barack Obama over the weekend?  (Valencia ~ Fairfield, CA)
A. Bush has kept extremely quiet about his White House successor, to his credit.  But, there comes a time when patriotic Americans are obligated to stand up and speak out.  On the other hand, he really didn’t say anything you haven’t read on one of my blogs first.

Q. I know there are thousands of people fleeing from I.S.I.S.  And I hear they are being turned back by some neighboring countries which are not prepared to deal with the mass needs.  Is the U.N. doing anything about it? (Alvina ~ Springdale, AR)
A. They are working on shipment of about 1 million refugees to European countries, but the issue is: how do they know if there are terrorists among the refugees who will go to those European countries and spread I.S.I.S. ideology there?  It’s a “Catch 22.”  What gets me is that the world knows damned well the dangers and atrocities of I.S.I.S. need to be stopped; yet, there seems to be so much hand-wringing going on.  I wish we had Reagan, Kennedy or Truman back, instead of this jackal we have now.

Q. What’s this I hear about a protest from Gitmo detainees?  (Ivan ~ Prescott, AZ)
A. Four of them were released to Uruguay and they’re now demanding a monthly paycheck so they can bring their families there, start new lives and resettle.  Maybe Obama will kick in a few millions of our dollars to accommodate them.

CLIMATE CHANGE SCAMS

NEWSMAX MAGAZINE is reporting the National Research Council is considering the implementation of various schemes to counter the effects of “global warming.”  Among the ideas being considered: (1) spraying the clouds with aerosols to cool the climate as would a volcanic eruption; (2) installing giant scrubbers to clean the air; (3) inducing iron into the oceans to grow algae; (4) planting new forests; and (4) dispersing various chemicals in the atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays back into space.

COMMENTS:

And this comes at a time when the scientific community is finally admitting that data relied upon to support the claims of global warming has been “manipulated.”  I wonder how much the Clintons are going to make off of this?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. You mentioned desalinization plants the other day as a method for help California through its drought.  Doesn’t Santa Barbara have one?  (Turk ~ Bakersfield, CA)
A. It has one that was mothballed years ago due to an abundance of water and the operating costs.  They are talking about starting it up again now, and there is one in the works for Cambria.  The costs are about 30% higher for such water, but at least you’ll have some salt left over to rub in your wounds.

Q. Can Assad maintain power against I.S.I.S.? (Leonora ~ Davenport, WA)
A. I don’t think he’s worried about I.S.I.S.; he’s worried about the Syrian rebels who have recently captured another town.  One thing going for him is that the U.S. is too focused on getting a nuclear deal with Iran to pay attention to Syria.

Q. What’s this about high school students challenging Common Core?  (Lucy ~ Colorado Springs, CO)
A. Juniors have not been showing up for their Common Core tests.  At one school in Seattle, the entire junior class skipped that testing period. Taking the tests is optional, but some school districts are threatening suspension or expulsion unless the students comply.

STONED IN COLORADO

Little Spider Creations, run out of an old warehouse in Denver, is moving to South Carolina because, ever since Colorado legalized pot in 2012, company employees have been showing up to work stoned.  Little Spider has built Halloween-like props for Six Flags amusement parks, the Dollywood Theme Park in Tennessee, and other haunted house entertainment venues.  The company says work productivity and quality have suffered.

COMMENTS:
Colorado will lose more businesses and employment opportunities for the same reasons.  It’s that old saying, “You reap what you sow.”  Colorado is truly going to pot in more ways than one.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. North Korea has had a nuke for a few years. How many do you think they have?  And, would they use them?  (Lawrence ~ Bellingham, WA)
A. Estimates are they have between 16 and 20 of them and will have over 100 within a few years.  I suspect they are being made from American uranium shipped to Russia, then to Iran and exchanged by Iran with North Korea in return for technology.  As you have learned, the Clintons put together a deal to sell American uranium production to Russia, which is criminal regardless of how much money the Clintons made for themselves as a result.  North Korea also has the missiles capable of delivering a nuclear payload and, if the winds are blowing east toward the U.S., I wouldn't put it past them to nuke South Korea.  What an ugly world is being created.

Q. Do you have anything to say about the death of an American hostage is a drone attack in Pakistan in January?  (Susanna ~ Seattle, WA)
A. Number one, why did it take three months for us to find out?  Number two, war is ugly and there is no full-proof way to guarantee that innocent people might become collateral damage.  Had we stayed in Iraq and Afghanistan, it is entirely probable that the attack would not have been needed.  And yes, I’m sorry for the family, but this is an example of why, if you’re engaged in conflict and war, you have to fight it with everthing you’ve got in order to win it convincingly and in the shortest amount of time possible.  Win and get out and you’ll end up saving lives.

Q. I watched FOX News [last night] and ‘THE TANGLED CLINTON WEB.”  Do you think there’s anyone left in the country who would vote for that woman?  (Gwyneth ~ Meridian, ID)
A. Yes, the same ones who voted twice for Obama.
