I.R.S. WARNS CONGRESS

The Internal Revenue has sent a not-so-veiled threat to Congress that if it enacts proposed legislation to reinstate tax breaks, then tax refund checks for 2014 could be delayed.

COMMENTS:

I suppose the burden of redoing their tax formulas might cause their hard drives to crash and then we’d be missing another 10 million emails.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. I see that Russia now has, for the first time in history, more nukes than the U.S.  Why have we allowed that to happen?  (Mindy ~ Solvang, CA)
A. Ask your President and those in Congress who stand behind him.  In the meanwhile, don’t sweat the small stuff.  Putin would never use them… would he?

Q. Do you believe all of the “don’t worry” hype being put out about the Administration about Ebola?  (Megan ~ Raleigh, NC)
A. Absolutely, 100% no.  You don't believe in the tooth fairy, do you?

Q. Ted Cruz is talking about introducing a new Constitutional Amendment to prohibit Congress and the Supreme Court from meddling in state marriage laws.  How do you feel about that?  (Lonnie ~ Fort Worth, TX)
A. The 10th Amendment of the Constitution specifically provides that powers not expressly provided by it to the Executive, Judicial or Congressional branches of government shall be reserved to the states and the people. That, in and of itself, should be sufficient.  The appropriate remedy for the overreach of the Court is impeachment.  Sorry, Ted; you’re a really nice guy, but you’re dead wrong on this one.  Nah, nah nah, nah nah nah.

TODAY’S QUOTE:

“So I think we should stay focused on the real problem in the Middle East.  It’s not Israel.  It’s these dictatorships that are developing nuclear weapons with the specific goal of wiping Israel away.” ~ Benjamin Netanyahu
