ECONOMIC INDICATORS GOING SOUTH…AGAIN

Despite Administration claims that holiday sales were up over last year and that unemployment is getting better, statistics just released show that December retail sales were down .3% and unemployment is rising faster than expected.

COMMENTS:
The economic stimulus continues to work 180 degrees opposite of what Obama and Geithner promised…promised. Now, Obama trumpets that passage of the Health Care Plan will create more jobs. Surely, it will create new jobs, but jobs lost will far out-number new jobs created. Everything this man says turns out to be boneheaded. If he handed me a million dollars tomorrow, I’d have to check it thoroughly to see if it was counterfeit.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think Glenn Beck might run for political office? (Amanda ~ Seattle, WA)
A. He’d have to do a lot of soul searching. If he has an addictive personality, (as he has indicated and power is addictive), could he become another corrupt, unethical power monger like Pelosi or Reid or the rest of them?

Q. With Obama going to Massachusetts Sunday to stump for Coakley, do you think that will guarantee her a win on Tuesday? (Ira ~ Annapolis, MD)
A. No, but it might guarantee her a loss.

Q. It seems to me that Rush Limbaugh really stepped into it this time by claiming that the only reason Obama is reacting to the Haiti situation is to gain political points. (Zulu ~ Norwalk, CA)
A. Think back to the massive earthquakes, rains and floods that devastated the Phillipines last year. Obama barely recognized that the disasters had happened. Why not? What political purpose would it serve? I agree with Limbaugh on this one, not that I’m against helping Haiti. But, remember that keeping the media focused on Haiti means that no one is focused on what is happening in the House on the Health Care Bill. Hand me an aspirin.

HEALTH CARE SET TO PASS THIS WEEKEND: NO 72 HOUR REVIEW WINDOW!

Word leaked out late yesterday from Capitol Hill “anonymous sources” that the House of Representatives has reached an agreement with major unions over the tax on “Cadillac Policy” issues. Details of the agreement are not readily forthcoming, but the sources did say that a number of major concessions were made by the White House in exchange for the unions dropping their objections to the policy tax. The House will probably vote on the revised plan sometime before Saturday morning and their bill will immediately be forwarded to the Senate for their approval by Monday morning when the Bill will be forwarded to the President. The public will not be allowed to see or comment on the Bill until after it becomes law.

COMMENTS:
If true, and I believe it is, this is an OUTRAGE! It is obvious that threats have been made and more dirty dealing has taken place. It is also obvious that what Obama wants is far more important to Congress than what we want. This violates every fundamental principle in the Constitution.
NOTE: Word coming out this morning is that the unions have agreed to taxes on their "Cadillac" medical insurance plans, not beginning until 2018, in return for which they get complete protection from taxes on dental and vision plans forever, drug companies get taxed at a higher rate, (which will be passed on to the taxpayers), and non-union members will pay higher premiums for less coverage.  Although they are saying this will be passed "within days," late tonight or early tomorrow morning for the House is still the apparent target time.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Obama wants to tax the banks on the basis of “getting our money back.” But, won’t the banks just pass the taxes on to us as consumers? (Arlo ~ Chicago, IL)
A. Yes, so it amounts to another hidden tax on you and me. These guys have so, so much smoke and mirrors going on, they make used car salesmen look like priests.

Q. Why is Google pulling out of China? (Archie ~ Houma, LA)
A. Search me.

Q. I hear there is a White House “Czar” in charge of transparency, and that Vice President Biden has been having meetings with him? (Clarice ~ Sun Valley, ID)
A. I heard that, too. But, if so, the meetings on transparency are being held in secret. Go figure that one out.

MASSACHUSETTS SENATE RACE GETS UGLY

A reporter for the WEEKLY STANDARD was viciously shoved down against a wrought-iron rail Tuesday night near a Capitol Hill fundraiser for Massachusetts Senate candidate Martha Coakley. The “shover” is alleged to be one Michael Meehan, who was engaged as a "communications consultant" for the Coakley campaign at the behest of the Democratic Party. The victim, reporter John McCormack, was helped to his feet by Meehan, the "communicator," and then shoved again.

COMMENTS:
This display of physical aggressiveness has manifested itself many times in the past year, at Tea Parties, at Town Hall Meetings and at other events where the so-called “elite” have resorted to physical attacks against those whom they perceive to be political enemies. These are the people who refuse to responsibly debate issues, who shout out those who challenge them and who resort to name-calling and bully tactics when all else fails. I really intended to keep my nose out of Massachusetts’ political business until this happened. The Coakley Camp simply must be defeated at all costs.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. All of the sudden, here is another rush, rush emergency drill to get the Health Care plan onto the floor of the House, voted on and then stampeded into the Senate and voted on and passed by the end of the weekend. What’s the big "crisis" this time? (Karn ~ Laguna Beach, CA)
A. Obama, Reid and Pelosi have huddled over the last two days and determined that there is a realistic possibility that Scott Brown, a Republican running to fill Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat, might win. Brown has pledged to vote against the health care plan. The temporary incumbent has announced he will continue to support it. If Brown gets elected and sworn in before the Senate votes, the Health Care Plan goes down in flames, because that is the key 60th vote. Undoubtedly, the dealing, arm-twisting and outright threats continue in the back rooms of the Capitol as Reid and Pelosi work feverishly to beat the deadline of next Tuesday’s Massachusetts vote. Obama and his henchman Rahm Emanuel are putting the muscle on Reid and Pelosi to deliver, “or else.” Thus, this really is a time for us to “cling on to our guns and religion,” because those goons obviously don’t care that we don’t want their stupid health care plan.

Q. I see there may be over 100,000 dead on Haiti. I’ve always wondered how they deal with so many deaths all at once. (Sally – Tonopah, NV)
A. It’s a real problem. You have lack of infrastructure as well, no water, no electricity, no sewer. The threat of serious disease is an imminent danger. They will have mass burials or cremations within the next day or so, as soon as they can identify the dead. The hidden blessing here is that their main government building, the Presidential Palace, was totally destroyed, so you won’t have a bunch of politicians moping  around, wringing their hands, grand-standing and getting in the way of things.

Q. What is all the ruckus at NBC really about? (Thad ~ Yonkers, NY)
A. NBC has been suffering from declining ratings. When Obama came along, they misread the public and threw all of their media weight behind the Obama agenda. Like the NEW YORK TIMES debacle, Americans saw right through it and ratings plummeted even faster. In a desperate effort to shore up its late night line-up, it decided to move the vastly popular Jay Leno into an earlier time slot and to replace his later show with Conan O’Brien. The plan backfired, with Leno’s ratings taking a dive and O’Brien’s never really taking off. Now, NBC is trying to “fix” the mess it has created, and both Leno and O’Brien are ticked off. In the meantime, NBC’s overall ratings are dropping faster than even Obama’s ratings, if you can believe that. The most endangered species in the whole state of New York right now is the NBC peacock.

A.I.G. BACK IN THE NEWS

In what could turn into a major political scandal involving Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner, the head of the House of Representatives Oversight Committee, Rep. Edolphus Towns of New York, issued a subpoena for fuller disclosure into whether the New York Federal Reserve improperly urged AIG to limit discussions of payments to banks. Geithner was in charge of the N.Y. Federal Reserve at the time.

COMMENTS:
There’s much, much more brewing in the pot about Geithner, AIG and payments AIG received from the Feds after Geithner took over as Secretary of the Treasury. Geithner may refuse to testify, because he’s busily working away on his income tax return.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why did the Republicans fall all over themselves about Senator Reid’s “racial” remarks? (Kit ~ Silver Springs, MD)
A. Reid is the epitome of the word “politician” and, being politicians themselves, they are jealous. A politician, by the way, is defined as a person who will double-cross that bridge when they come to it.

Q. I heard on TV yesterday that they have been trying to pass a government-run health care system since the days of Teddy Roosevelt. If that’s true and they haven’t been able to do it, and 55% of Americans are still solidly against government-run health care, why do they keep trying to cram it through? (Cyrus ~ Atlanta, GA)
A. Because “they” feel they are superior beings; power makes them all-knowing, all-seeing, almighty potentates. They think their poop doesn’t stink, but you can smell the stench of Congress all of the way to Hawaii; it makes a sewer plant smell like a rose garden.

Q. The gay movement has tried again, again and again to force Californians to allow same-sex marriages. They’ve been overwhelmingly voted down, again and again. Now, they’re turning to violence in the streets in front of the Court House. Why do we allow them to continue like this? (Ellen ~ Auburn, CA)
A. For the last couple of decades, the majority in this country has allowed the minority to push its agendas, whatever they are, and to rule the day. Now, the majority has had its fill and it is firmly pushing back. Gays can’t come to grips with the fact that they have two choices: quit bellyaching, or move to a jurisdiction where their views are in the majority. That’s what makes America great; they have the freedom to make that move, whereas they’d be tossed in prison or have their heads cut off in other countries.

PALIN GETS A JOB: FOX!

Late yesterday afternoon, the word came out that Sarah Palin is finally taking a job with Fox Broadcasting. She’ll be a political commentator.

COMMENTS:
Valerie Jarrett and the Prez must have had serious hissy fits over that news! If I’d had any inkling this was going to happen, I would have purchased loads of stock in a toilet tissue company. Maybe Glenn Beck will share his red phone with her?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Is the Republican Party, under the direction of Michael Steele, ready to take back some Congressional seats in the 2010 elections? (Nick ~ Barstow, CA)
A. The Republican Party has yet to display any discernable quality of leadership, including Michael Steele. Maybe they can try finding one on American Idol.

Q. Do you think there will be a big turnover of seats in Congress in November? (Chet ~ Waco, TX)
A. Yes. I think almost every seat up for election will have a new resident but, unless there is a drastic change, new Democrats will be replacing incumbent Democrats. I see some gains for Republicans, but not anything to get excited about. However, the fresh blood will hopefully get the message across that all Americans, regardless of political leaning, are totally upset with what they have seen on Capitol Hill for the last few decades. Right now, the Republicans don’t have the slightest idea of who they really are, with the possible exception of…Sarah Palin.

Q. The Terminator offered a very strict budget to California last week and the legislators have been quick to say they will not pay any attention to it. What do you think will happen? (Terrie ~ Hollister, CA)
A. The only alternative they have is to raise taxes. If they do that, they’d better outlaw and confiscate all guns first, or some of those in Sacramento might get shot. What got them into this mess is the same cavalier attitude about governance that now infests Washington. Maybe a good, stiff dose of Ex-Lax will help relieve their problem, although I think that is a very remote possibility.

REID’S APOLOGY TO OBAMA: Racial Overtones?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, (Democrat from Nevada), called President Obama Saturday to apologize for remarks he made during the 2008 political campaigns. Reid had then referred to Obama in private talks as "light-skinned" and speaking "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one," according to a new book on the campaign by journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann. The apology came after the renowned Senator Cleanface realized that his earlier remarks might hurt his reelection campaign.

COMMENTS:
One must presume that, if Prince Harry was not running for reelection, the apology would not have been forthcoming.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Who do you distrust the most, Obama, Reid or Pelosi? (Quint ~ Arlington, TX)
A. Yes.

Q. Did you feel that big earthquake near Ferndale, CA on Saturday way up there on top of Mt. Burney? (Garth ~ Galveston, TX)
A. I felt the water splash in the commode. Whoooopie! I haven’t been that moved since Obama’s Nobel Prize acceptance speech.

Q. If you were President, how would you deal with terrorists? (Nanners ~ Montpelier, VT)
A. I surely would not give them their Miranda Rights and let them plea bargain in a civilian court. Maybe I’d lock them up in a back room in the Capitol with Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Rahm Emanuel to talk health care. Now, that would be a fate worse than death.

PELOSI SINKS TO NEW LOWS

Nancy Pelosi’s approval ratings have slipped to between 31% and 34%, depending on which poll you read.

COMMENTS:
Since Americans only give Congress a 22% approval rating, I suppose that makes the Princess a winner.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I hear that Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer are going to the General Motors car show next week. (Berenda ~ Oroville, CA)
A. They just want to rub it in American’s faces that the government now owns General Motors. If that doesn’t give you gas, nothing will.

Q. How come your blog came out late yesterday? (Pete ~ Lake Havasu, AZ)
A. Are you serious? Are you serious?

Q. I heard that Nancy Pelosi took a cheap shot at the President the other day, and I missed it. What happened? (Carlisle ~ Norman, OK)
A. She was asked about Obama’s countless promises to have health care hearings held in the open on C-SPAN while they are now being held total secret, and she almost split her girdle while laughing about Obama's broken campaign promises.

AIRLINE SECURITY INADEQUATE

President Obama interrupted the Glenn Beck Show on Thursday to report to the nation that he was upset with the fact that a would-be bomber got aboard a Northwest Airlines flight on Christmas Day and, rather than blame any one person, he once again said that it was a “systemic failure” and the system needs to be fixed.

COMMENTS:
Let’s just forget, for a moment, everything that happened after the bomber got on the plane; let’s not talk about the father alerting the U.S. Embassy or any of the other things that happened. Let’s just deal with one individual in a foreign airport buying a one-way ticket with cash, while carrying no luggage. That’s it; that’s all anyone needs to know. This guy gets interviewed and searched before he gets on the plane, straight and simple. But, that didn’t happen. That is not a “systemic failure,” it’s a pure violation of standard procedure, and people need to be fired. The rest of what happened, you can call “systemic” if you want, but this basic violation of procedure is so blatant that you have to ask whether or not it was deliberate, that the bomber had collusion. The fact that angle has not been investigated and no one got fired tells me that airline security is definitely lacking.

As a side note, it seems that, whenever Obama has an announcement to make, which is almost every day he wants his mug in front of the nation, he picks 5:00 PM Eastern during the Glenn Beck Show on Fox. I wonder why that is?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you really think they are going to pass this version of the Health Care Bill when so many Americans are against it? (Peggy ~ Manchester, CA)
A. They haven’t backed off yet, have they? Maybe Ray Stevens can persuade them otherwise, (you really need to see the video, below.)

Q. Last year, you predicted another major economic bust in 2010. Many top economists say otherwise. (Carole ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. My opinion stays the same. Some major companies have already announced layoffs. The purchase of used houses has plummeted. And, I’m in good company: James Chanos, a multi-billionaire Wall-Street investor, is now predicting that the economy is about to tank again, big time. “Dubai times 1,000 - - or worse,” he says. And, according to what I hear, there hasn’t been a big rush of gamblers heading to Vegas, either. Even Harry Reid doesn’t go to Nevada anymore but, then again, who wants him?

Q. Is California going to be able to make good on the millions of dollars it has “borrowed” from taxpayers by “temporarily” increasing their tax withholdings? (Kristen ~ San Jose, CA)
A. Not unless they make friends with Timmy Geithner and Barry Obama.

Three men escaped from a prison in Illinois yesterday.

COMMENTS:
Isn’t that the same state where they are going to house the Gitmo terrorists? They were almost immediately armed and dangerous, not that escaped terrorists would have the same luck. Maybe they can be recruited as community organizers… ACORN calling?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. The news yesterday was that mice with Alzheimer’s have shown improvement when using cell phones? (Ginny ~ Saint Paul, MN)
A. Yes, but only when talking. The mice show no improvement when text messaging.

Q. Now the TSA people are saying that they actually had in their possession information that the NW Airlines bomber should be watched and that they had planned to interview him after he landed? How do they have the audacity to say such things? (Henry ~ Buffalo, NY)
A. They’re being groomed to run for the U.S. Senate.

Q. What made Obama decide to go ahead and allow C-Span to broadcast Congressional hearings on the Health Care Plan negotiations? (Sidney ~ Martinez, CA)
A. He got so much heat about all of his promises that he decided he had no choice. So, out of the hours and hours of closed-door secret hearings going on, he’s going to allow the C-Span cameras in there for… one hour. How’s that for an in-your-face “up yours?”

HEALTH CARE TO BE HAMMERED OUT IN TOP SECRECY

House and Senate leaders, presumably Pelosi and Reid, are now holed up in a secreted room in the Capitol, huddling with White House officials, (presumably Emanuel), hammering out the language of the new Health Care Bill that will be rushed, without reading, to the floor of the House where it will be passed and then rushed to the floor of the Senate where it will be passed, all without reading or airing or discussion. And, we will all be blamed for making much ado about nothing.

COMMENTS:
And then, the wrath of the people will shake Washington to its ugly, bitter, unethical, corrupt, slimy and nasty roots. The day is closer than you think.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Will Janet Napolitano get fired? (Margo ~ Hannibal, MO)
A. That’s the way the system works.

Q. How come all of the sudden some of the top Democrats are announcing they’re through with politics? (Alice ~ Des Moines, IA)
A. It’s easier to make that decision than to run again and be embarrassed to find out that you only got two votes…yours and your wife’s.

Q. I heard that James Von Brunn, the guy who shot the guard at the holocaust museum and who dies in prison, was actually a Shasta County, (California) resident? (Myron ~ Susanville, CA)
A. At one time he was a real estate agent for Associated Brokers in Shingletown. His racism now appears to be a dead issue.

GITMO YEMENI TERRORISTS NOT GOING BACK TO YEMEN

The President announced during a transportation security briefing yesterday that Yemeni terrorist prisoners being held at Guantanamo will not be sent back to Yemen after all. In making that announcement, he did not reveal what his plans are for those prisoners other than to say again that GITMO will definitely be closed down.

COMMENTS:
Whatever the real reasons are for Obama to reverse himself on this decision, this is the only right choice. Thank Allah, he finally did something right.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. A friend tells me they are already trying to establish a national park to honor Barack Obama? Can this be true? (Maxine ~ Hercules, CA)
A. Yes, but they have a problem. Hawaii wants to have the park established on January 20th, inauguration day, and they want it named after his place of birth. His half-sister says he was born in one hospital, he says a different one. A report on World Net Daily says that sheriff’s deputies are stationed at both hospitals to keep any investigator from asking the question. Another relative insists he was born in Kenya. My proposal? Area 51, underneath the space-alien landing pad.

Q. I understand that the EPA has fired a researcher who says that global warming does not exist? (Rhett ~ Boulder City, NV)
A. Yes, they did it over the holidays so that the right-wing extremist press wouldn’t get wind of it.

Q. Did Nancy Pelosi use an Air Force jet to fly her to Hawaii for the holidays? (Bing ~ Santa Maria, CA)
A. I’m not sure, but I did hear that her broom has been in the shop for routine maintenance.

TAX PREPARERS FACING TOUGHER SCRUTINY

The I.R.S. says it is going to require people who prepare tax returns for others to pass tests and register with the government. The I.R.S. says that it believes that there are those out there who do not know what they are doing and who are giving bad advice and completing bad returns. Eventually, tax preparers will be required to complete annual training and will be subject to penalties for unethical conduct.

COMMENTS:
Okay, guys. Aunt Millie is 89, blind and in a convalescent home and needs to file a tax return, and her nephew John has been doing that for her during the last five years. Now, you are going to make him register and pass a test? Is this one of Mr. Geithner’s brilliant ideas? Are you Obama guys all on drugs, or what?

TODAY’S QUERIES &ANSWERS:
Q. When there was the big uproar about all of the ugly back room deals made by Senators leading into the Christmas Eve vote to shove health care up our hind ends, some of the Senators fluffed it off by saying, “That’s how the system works.” How do you feel about that? (Marlin ~ Shreveport, LA)
A. That’s a lame excuse for unethical and un-American activities. That’s why we need to show them how OUR system works by voting them all out in November….all of them, both Republican and Democrat.

Q. I hear that the Justice Department is working on making some kind of a deal with the Christmas airline terrorist? (Wayne ~ Portsmouth, NH)
A. Yes. They are going to offer him a reduced sentence or some kind of immunity in exchange for revealing information about Al Queda. God forbid they get caught water boarding.

Q. I hear that the City Manager in Redding is refusing to take his pay raise. Is he some kind of a nut? (Bernie ~ Palo Cedro, CA)
A. I admire him for doing the right thing. Maybe by doing that they can keep a secretary or some other needy person employed. It’s that kind of thinking that America used to be made of. Outside of that, he may be a nut, I don't know; never met the man.

F.B.I. STATS DON’T SUPPORT GUN CONTROL

The FBI has issued its preliminary 2009 crime report, showing that the number of murders in the first half of 2009 decreased 10 percent compared to the first half of 2008. If the trend holds for the remainder of 2009, it will be the single greatest one-year decrease in the number of murders since at least 1960, the earliest year for which national data are available through the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Also, the per capita murder rate for 2009 will be 51 percent lower than the all-time high recorded in 1991, and it will be the lowest rate since 1963 - a 46-year low. Final figures for 2009 will be released by the FBI next year.

COMMENTS:
That probably has something to do with the well-known research that shows a dramatic increase in crime in countries where guns have been confiscated.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I hear the Republicans are hurting for money? (Gemael ~ Southfield, MI)
A. They have no message, no leadership, no platform. Who wants to contribute to that?

Q. The news they seem to be trying to cover up is that 20 million Americans were on unemployment compensation last year. How can they get away with this? (Faye ~ Redding, CA)
A. The two despicable things about this is (1) that there are probably another 10 million who have given up looking, fallen off the unemployment rolls, or dramatically under-employed and (2) these people are losing their cars, their homes, their furniture, their dignity and their self-respect. This, while Obama and Pelosi are off sunning themselves in Hawaii and scheming on how to get a Health Care Plan passed and Cap & Trade enacted and bailing out Freddie Mac And Fannie Mae….again.

Q. The way you keep harping on Obama, you must be a racist. (Denver~ Richmond, CA)
A. I don’t care if the guy IS black; I still think he’s the worst President this country has ever had, or will ever have again. Yes, he’s even worse than Jimmy Carter.

OBAMA’S INCOMPETENT ADMINISTRATION

The TSA has admited that a second person on board Northwest Flight 253 was detained and investigated after a bomb sniffing dog identified his luggage as suspect, a fact previously denied, but alleged by several passengers. According to the admission, this person was later released after it was determined that his luggage did not contain bomb materials.

COMMENTS:
It seems that every day brings a new revelation that some branch or department of the Administration has bungled something, from costing more than $20,000 for each $4,500 old car credit for the “Cash for Clunkers” debacle, to spending some $870,000 for each $187,000 house saved from foreclosure, to faulty and misleading facts on the Economic Recovery website, to… well, the list goes on and on. This underscores the valid assumption that the Administration has been built around incompetent high-level management. Since most scholars agree that Obama is no dummy, the hiring of incompetents must have been deliberate, and the only viable reason for knowingly hiring incompetents is that you intend to take actions that are either unethical or illegal and you don’t want intelligent people working for you who might question what you are doing.

So, what is Obama up to?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you believe Obama will run for reelection in 2012? (Melissa ~ Northridge, CA)
A. I do not believe Obama will finish his first term as President.

Q. Given the fact that so many states are in financial straits, why did the Senate vote to saddle the states with Medicaid costs? (Remmy ~ Brooklyn, NY)
A. To hide the true costs of the Health Care Bill they passed.

Q. With the state employee furloughs and severe cutbacks in some services, is California now going to be able to balance its budget? (Dee ~ Oxnard, CA)
A. No. They are still running a projected deficit of $21 billion over the next 18 months. The legislature, having not learned yet that raising taxes causes more businesses and individuals to leave the state, is looking to raise tax rates when it starts its next session. If they do so, the average Californian will be paying out about 55% of his gross taxable income in federal and state income taxes plus hidden taxes.

THE HERMIT’S 2010 PREDICTIONS

  1. Harry Reid will not win Nevada's Democratic nomination to be reelected to the Senate
  2. Nancy Pelosi will win reelection in November, getting a paltry 51% of the vote.
  3. More than 50% of the Congressional seats up for reelection will have new people sitting in them after November.
  4. Republicans will make only marginal gains in November.
  5. Obama’s approval rating will drop below 30%
  6. The stock market will plummet again in the first quarter of 2010.
  7. Unemployment will surge in the 1st quarter of 2010.
  8. Sarah Palin will run for and win a Congressional seat.
  9. There will be a major terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
  10. Obama will not produce his birth certificate in 2010.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I’m told that Native American Indian Tribes are in the process of buying back thousands of acres of land. What’s your opinion?
(Bethany ~ Wendover, NV)
A. Yes, and that’s good. The white man gave most of them the shaft bigtime back in the 1800’s. Since history shows that they were by-and-large a peaceful society with ethics and values, my hope is that they will buy back the entire country and throw out all of the butt heads in Washington.

Q. In light of the many events of last year, what is your opinion of 2010 and beyond?
(Benny ~ Burbank, CA)
A. There’s a poll out that says the majority of Americans are afraid that we are losing our freedoms and we need to be careful who we associate with.

Q. If you could wave your magic wand and change anything you want, what would it be?
(Janet ~ Sepulveda, CA)
A. I would ask, and pray for, the return of Christ to the face of Earth. We all need to come to grips with the fact that we have totally screwed this planet up, in every respect.

IT'S CHRISTMAS ON THE MOUNTAIN

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR
FROM THE BURNEY MOUNTAIN HERMIT

With all of the bad news and lies coming from our government, I don’t know how anyone can have a Merry Christmas, and certainly not a Happy New Year. But, in the spirit of the season, we must make an honest attempt at it.

I, for one, am “clinging to my guns and religion,” and I fear I may have to defend my rights to have both in 2010.

In honor of His birth, I will not resume publishing this blog until January 2, 2010.

GRAYSON WANTS BLOGGER JAILED

From: The Orlando Sentinel
WASHINGTON — Not everyone thinks imitation is the best form of flattery.
In fact, U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson of Orlando took such offense at a parody website aimed at unseating him that the freshman Democrat has asked that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder investigate the Lake County activist who started the anti-Grayson website “mycongressmanisnuts.com.”

Specifically, Grayson accuses Republican activist Angie Langley of lying to federal elections. His four-page complaint highlights the fact that the Clermont resident lives outside his district, but that Langley still uses the term “my” in “mycongressmanisnuts.com.”

“Ms. Langley has deliberately masqueraded as a constituent of mine, in order to try to create the false appearance that she speaks for constituents who don’t support me,” writes Grayson. “[She] has chosen a name for her committee that is utterly tasteless and juvenile.”

Grayson’s office did not respond with comment other than to confirm the letter exists — including its request that Langley be fined and “imprisoned for five years.”

COMMENTS:
And, so it begins. First, the attack on Freedom of Speech. Second, the trashing of Americans who are against the Health Care Plan, by calling them “lunatics” and “fringe terrorists.” Third, the ATF attack on individual state sovereignty and gun rights in Montana. Fourth, the looming passage of “Cap & Trade” legislation, now that the Health Care debacle has been manipulated up our posteriors without Vaseline.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. The people from Nebraska must feel mighty smug with what Nelson got for them?
(Maxine ~ Littleton, CO)
A. Not if they’re Americans they don’t. Frankly, I’d be ashamed, more than anything.

Q. Under this health care plan, will the Members of Congress have to comply with the same set of rules as we do?
(Bertha ~ Sparks, NV)
A. Are you serious? Are you serious?

Q. What is the best way to get into politics?
(Tyler ~ Lincoln, CA)
A. Start by rolling in pig and horse manure for a few days, otherwise no one will recognize that you’re a politician.

THE OBAMA TERRORIST TRIALS - DAY 39:

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

MR. PRESIDENT, SIR! YOU ARE A LIAR

The President has promptly run to the TV Cameras to proclaim a “victory for the people.” In jumping up and down with his Christmas present from Harry Reid, Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman, Obama chastised the American people who lamented that this will cost the country hundreds of billions of dollars by asserting that it will save the country money over ten years.

COMMENTS:
Mr. President, I respectfully disagree with your lying ways. You shoved billions of dollars in Medicaid expenses back onto the states, (with the exception of Nebraska, the state where Ben Nelson lives, who you totally bought off with our money), you devastated Medicare, you raise my taxes and my insurance premiums, you increased my taxes… and, (just one small, additional detail), you neglected to add that the Congressional Budget Office has come out yesterday and said it made a $500 billion “mistake.” You and I know that “mistake” was deliberate in order to get the Senate vote.

So, sir, you are a liar and I will not apologize for saying it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What was it that Sarah Palin did in Salt Lake City that has all of the Republicans there ticked off?
(Minnie ~ Sun Valley, ID)
A. http://www.sltrib.com/ci_14003093?IADID=Search-www.sltrib.com-www.sltrib.com

Q. Back in the days of the draft, you could file a petition as a “Conscientious Objector” on religious principles and get out of the draft. With the health care plan allowing for government funds to be used for abortions, can I refuse to pay taxes as a “Conscientious Objector?”
(Billie ~ Morgan Hill, CA)
A. Sounds like a perfectly legal argument to me. I don’t know how the Supreme Court could turn you down.

Q. I hear the Feds have been quietly starting up their anti-gun campaign, starting with Montana?
(Brett ~ North Platte, NE)
A. Montana enacted a provision that says any gun manufactured in Montana, sold there and used there is not subject to Federal gun laws on the basis of state sovereignty. The Feds have notified all gun dealers in Montana that, if they violate any Federal gun law they will be prosecuted and they don’t give a damn about state sovereignty. The Feds claim almighty right on the basis that guns manufactured elsewhere and sold elsewhere DO cross state lines and therefore, all gun sales anywhere come under the Interstate Commerce clause, which gives the Feds total control.

SICK, SICK, SICK

Due to illness, no post today.

All you have to do is listen to the news, and you will be sick, too. How does it feel to know that Feinstein and Boxer don't give a flying fangoo what we think about Health Care?

OBAMA, “EPITOME OF POLITICAL QUACKERY,” STRIKES AGAIN

President Obama, once again calling for “transparency,” has sounded the alarm over climate change and called upon leaders of the world for action before it is too late; “Time is running short,” and once again one of his favorite cliches, "The time for talk is over." At the time this post was written, Obama had uttered forth with the cryptic message that a magnificent breakthrough has occurred.

COMMENTS:
The sky s falling, the sky is falling! Quick! Pass TARP! Pass the Recovery Act! Fork over another stimulus! Pass Health Care before the swine flu kills all of us! The sky is falling, the sky is falling! Fork over your wallets, your children's wallets, your grand children’s wallets before we all die! The sky is falling, the sky is falling! Quick! Breathe while we still have air!! Oh, my God! The messiah has saved us! He has a “breakthrough!” Grab your great-grand-children's wallets!

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I can’t believe my ears. I think I heard something about the Republican Party backing a Democrat in the Kentucky Senatorial race?
(Milo – Lawton, OK)
A. Well, you have it partly right. Rand Paul, son of Ron Paul, tossed his hat into the Kentucky Senatorial Republican Primary and is now leading Trey Grayson. Grayson is a “former” Democrat and strong Clinton supporter whom the National Republican Committee has chosen to fund instead of Rand Paul, who has come from behind both in the polls and in fund-raising. It’s exactly this type of activity that tells me the Republican Party is still a major disappointment and is not ready to take back a leadership role in this country.

Q. There’s been a lot of talk lately about the American Tea Party becoming a third political party and taking on both the Republicans and the Democrats. What are your thoughts?
(Candice – Needles, CA)
A. As attractive as that sounds to me, here’s the logistical problem. The Tea Party wants our country to get back to its founding roots and to abide by the Constitution, which it should. Based on just that alone, it should attract a whole lot of Independents, Republicans and Democrats. However, it is a conservative movement as well, which means that “moderates” and left liberals will probably not be enticed. In a three-way race, the Republicans would probably get 30%, the Tea Party 30% and the leftist Democrats 40%. I’d like to see the Tea Party field a few candidates in 2010 to establish its viability, because I think they could win some seats and shake up the “establishment.” I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Q. Who do you favor for the 2012 Presidential elections?
(Ann – Las Vegas, NV)
A. Newt and Sarah would make a good team, I think. But, we’ll probably end up with Joe Dullard and Felix Fumblebutt. I don’t see Biden back on the Demo ticket; maybe Obama and Pelosi?
