There was a photo of an airsoft gun on Instagram and a
student “liked” the photo while at home one night; he was called to the
school’s office the next morning, searched for firearms, and given a ten-day suspension. The school board has defended its action,
citing that it has a “zero tolerance” of violent, disruptive, harassing, intimidating,
bullying, or any other inappropriate behavior by its students.
COMMENTS:
This is censorship, pure and simple. There were no threats, there was no violence…
only a “like.” It is oppressive
un-American dictatorship, and we have to
do something about it. It’s gotten to
be totally out of hand in this country.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Did I hear that Obama is warning people to quit eating
steaks? (Chastity ~ Portland, OR)
A. Yes, you probably did.
The holier-than-thou elitist ex-president says that the more meat you
eat, the more animals they raise to supply that meat and hence… the more
methane emissions poison the atmosphere.
I would suppose, then, that he’s on a strict watermelon and grits
diet.
Q. The airlines have really been treating the flying public shabbily
lately. So, there was this big riot in
Ft. Lauderdale when Spirit Airlines abruptly canceled some flights. Why did they do that? (Smiley ~ Quincy, CA)
A. Some of the passengers were upset because they were bound
for a graduation ceremony, which they would miss due to the canceled flight. So, they took matters into their own
hands. I guess they thought that they
would show Spirit a thing or two. Spirit
blamed the cancellations on a labor issue with the Airline Pilots Association;
if that’s true, I guess the travelers intended to man the cockpits
themselves.
Q. This is the first time in my memory that the presence of
sharks has made news on the west coast.
What do you think is happening? (Shannon ~ Fallon, NV)
A. I agree with you: I thought all of the sharks were either
on used car lots or in the halls of Congress.
It could be that they’re ticked off over that big glob of oil tar from
the Gulf Oil Spill that is floating around on the bottom of the ocean. Really, it all relates to water temperatures,
currents and food sources.
