Stacy Washington, a columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, was suspended due to her defense of the
NRA. In her column, she disputed
an anti-NRA article that argued since more Americans die from guns
than from ISIS, the Second Amendment advocacy group is the greater danger. Washington subsequently resigned.
COMMENTS:
The liberal agenda in this country is huge and they fully intend
to censor, by any means possible, anyone who opposes their views.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. You’ve indicated that the governments of many countries
are forcing their citizens into becoming “cashless societies.” What are the benefits and dangers? (Lucas ~ Banning, CA)
A. On the one hand, think of the millions of dollars in
savings when the government shuts down the U.S. Treasury Printing Office. Think about not having a wallet stuffed full
of small bills and pockets full of pennies.
On the other hand, if someone steals your smart phone or other device
used to transfer money from you to some vendor in exchange for some good or
service, you might have to wait four or five days for a new device before you
can make the purchase. What if there’s
an electromagnetic pulse that shuts down our electrical grid, the satellites
quit working or a tornado wipes out some cell towers? What if the government decides to put us in
dire straits until we obey its every command?
Q. So, what do you think of the new AHCA? (Melody ~ Los Molinos,
CA)
A. What’s in it for me?
I’m on Medicare and have supplementary insurance that has skyrocketing
premiums and expanding deductibles. This bill doesn’t help me one damned bit. What about caps on medical liability insurance
and legal costs? What about prescription
costs? What about the absolute and
immoral profits the healthcare industry is making at my expense?
Q. They say almost 82,000 people showed up for the NRA
convention, where guns were not banned.
How come nobody got shot? I
thought guns were a big problem.
(Tiffany ~ Apache Junction, AZ)
A. Guns are not the problem; guns in the wrong hands are the
problem. In this case, no terrorists, no
“deranged gunman,” no thug dared to walk into an NRA convention and start
shooting, simply because he knew without a doubt that he’d end up being Swiss cheese
on the sidewalk.
