DEMOCRATS GET REALLY, REALLY NASTY

All Senate Democrat Committee members boycotted confirmation hearings yesterday on Steven Mnuchin and Tom Price.  Senate rules require that at least one member of the opposition party be in attendance for all votes.  Confirmation of these two Trump cabinet nominees is therefore indefinitely stalled.

COMMENTS:
I’m sick and tired of this chicken coop crap.  These types of shenanigans are the major reason Congress hasn’t been able to do anything in 28 years.  I’m thinking we are overdue to have a march of our own on the Capitol.  Evidently, they refuse to behave like adults unless you literally… and I mean literally… get in their faces.  Such nastiness belongs in fascist snake pits.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Any opinion on the Boy Scouts now agreeing to have transgender members?  (Paulette ~ San Luis Obispo, CA)
A. You won’t see either of my boys in the Boy Scouts.

Q. Knowing that it’s probably going to backfire on them, I can’t fathom why the Dems are being such obstructionists and venomous snakes.  (Giana ~ Ukiah, CA)
A. Because they know it’s ticking you and me off.  They can’t handle anything that is on an adult level, so they resort to temper tantrums, scratching and biting.  The word “dialogue” is not in their vocabulary.
Q. Now that casino mogul Sheldon Adelson has pulled his financial support out of the new Vegas stadium, do you think the Raiders will still move there?  (Barney ~ Reno, NV)
A. Goldman Sachs has already pledged to finance the deal, even if Adelson backs out.  Whether or not they stick to that deal, under what financial terms and whether or not Vegas can meet those terms is up in the air, (play on words intended).  But, if interest in the NFL continues to plummet on the part of fans, the whole deal could fall flat.

TODAY’S QUOTE:
“As a former NFL player, I am one American who will have nothing to do with any NFL team that cannot find the corporate courage to stand for the millions of courageous past great Americans whose sacrifice gave meaning to our flag and national anthem, and to the millions upon millions who still dream to come to its free shores.” ~ Burgess Owens
