Congress did something yesterday it has rarely done; it
passed a law squarely in defiance of President Obama’s dictates… and it was
bi-partisan. By a vote of 91-3, the
Senate put the icing on the cake in agreeing to a $607 billion defense budget
while at the same time preventing Obama from transferring any Gitmo detainees
to any prison in the U.S. and also denying any funds to modify any such a
prison to accommodate such transfers.
COMMENTS:
Well, they passed prior legislation preventing Obama from
releasing any Gitmo detainees without their permission, but he did it anyway in
the Bergdahl instance. Now, with the
mood of the country the way it is, I suspect… I hope that if he uses an Executive
Order to defy Congress on this matter, he will be impeached. For anything less to happen would be totally
un-American. If he vetoes the
legislation, the veto will obviously be overridden.

New York is leaving hundreds of cancer patients who are being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering
Cancer Center in Manhattan without coverage.
It’s one of those many, many facts not being disclosed by the liberal media.
